Is Asik going to be a problem going forward?

He must be happy too because Rockets are losing to everyone.

 

He has checked out. We should have traded him before the season started imo. My bet is that we don't have any team offering something suitable for him. Both Morey and McHale tried to be too smart with the twin towers idea of two 7 footers who have no post game.

 

Oh of course he's checked out. A trade needs to happen sooner rather than later because putting up performances like he has lately or playing 4 minutes a game will hurt his value on the market potentially.

 

I Guess he needs to re check his bank balance to put a smile on his face.

 

He is way overated here - he is a defensive presence, and a putrid offensive player.

Get rid of him - for a first and an expiring - we don't need him.

This team needs a trade and Asik is not happy in the same role he had in Chicago.

What's a bit annoying is the teams we thought were tanking like Phoenix, Orlando, Toronto, Philly, etc. haven't done too badly. Still with talent like Parker, Wiggins, and Randle awaiting in the lotto some teams are going to go full on firesale.

 

Detroit would never do it. Look for a Rondo Monroe trade it's inevitable.

Kenny Smith said it last week, Dwight needs to be more dominant. He doesn't need good centers like Asik playing next to him. He didn't have any other bigs in Orlando and he doesn't need any now.

Asik deserves to start.....on another team.

 

I wouldn't be happy if I played only 4 minutes after having played my heart out as a starter.

I don't understand why Asik isn't even in the rotation for back up C. 4 minutes is not enough to get a rhythm going.

Why wasn't Asik placed in the 2nd half of the Raptors game or at all today?
It would make things easier for our perimeter defense guys to play up in your face defense if they knew Asik could cover the lane.

 

Nah, it's just been rumored since the summer. Seems like it would be good for both sides.

 

i imagine the plan was to have him come off the bench for significant minutes but he played poorly/didn't care and coach responded with very limited minutes.

 

Trade Asik for a lockdown perimeter defender and move parsons to the bench.
