Advanced stats don't support that argument.

The purpose was for him to get the ball identify the double team then pass out for a open shot, it's not like the Mchale said "no matter what Dwight shoot it"

If your shooters aren't hitting shots, which they haven't been all year, it might be time to switch it up and try something else in such a close game. I don't think anybody is saying we should completely abandon posting up Howard but sticking with it to finish this game wasn't working. McHale's Rockets do not play well to finish out games and his adjustments to fix that have been lacking.

Dwight is the Jeremy Lin of Centers. You can count on him for big numbers and at least 4 TO's a game.

But that's what had been working all night! You go with what has been working, now granted if I was coach I would of drawn up a play for Lin cause he was hot but it's not completely crazy to do what has worked all game.

I'm sure the advanced stats say James Anderson shouldn't get the last shot for Philly but that's what was working so they went to it... And it was executed properly alot of the times it seems our guys are not executing the way they should.

I can't agree that you just stick with the same game plan for all four quarters. Coaches are supposed to make adjustments and the end of the game is when it matters the most. You don't keep posting up Howard because it was working earlier if it's not working when it matters the most.

See but I have a hard time believing the play was for Dwight the play was supposed to make the D collapse on him! If you noticed we couldn't get an open shot at the end when the perimeter guys were trying to create so we tried to create an open look from the inside out, the problem is the double didn't come initially so Dwight was then supposed to look for his shot but right when he did that the double team came from the baseline and he had no way of knowing. Again they executed their play perfectly and we didn't.

Oh I'm not just talking about the last play. My beef is with McHale continually posting up Howard to lose the lead in the 4th more than anything else. It should have never made it to overtime IMO. Then there is that whole Lin guarding a bigger Anderson that has been lighting you up all game.

Dhoward is good, don't get me wrong but the other team's center got the upper game tonight.

My biggest beef was how Parsons kept trying to handle the ball at the end, I was screaming everytime he did it. But what are you gonna do?

I read he had a clutch and1 and hook shot.

Granted, I didn't watch the game, but our defense was obviously awful.

Because the ****nut OP was clearly basing this entire turd of a kneejerk thread on the steal in the very end. Hence his cutting, insightful analysis in the OP. Read it again.

And of course, a certain remora like you is clinging to the end. Good show!

Anyway why don't YOU analyze the plays in a sample you deem approperiate and actually contribute something? Come on - salvage this - maybe if we polish enough, a diamond shall be found amidst the feces and you can post FIREMCFAILELEVENTY!!!11 and be happy.

    You have a theory.

Back it up. Or otherwise, shut up.

I'm gonna say it. Blake Griffin > Dwight Howard offensively.

Blake plays the PnR terrifically and gives CP3 solid screens. He also has better post game and his FT shooting is at least good enough to not be hack-a-blake worthy.

He's averaging only 4 rebounds less than Dwight even though he plays next to DeAndre who is averaging almost 14 a game.

Dwight is just Griffin with worse offense and better D, only he costs a LOT more.
