You know, sometimes guys just have great nights. Are you going to blame Toronto and Philly's defense on Lin's big points or Lin just scored really well both games. Hats off to Anderson for lighting up his old team. It was just his night. That tying game 3 pointer he made was well defended and contested. He knocked it down. Sometimes the other side does a good job.

We should have hit more foul shots. McHale tired out Lin, Lin was gassed in the 4th. Parsons was kind of gassed and Garcia is way out of synch for a few games now. Brewer could have played and Asik needed more minutes. The team had played beautiful team ball offensively, just turned the ball over too much. Defense got better in the 3rd and 4th quarter. But Philly, even with their big scoring rookie out played really well.

Jeremy really looked like Harden out there; dropping 30  ... and giving up 50

But really, yes there was a lot ugly; unforced turnovers, awful defense on Anderson, shooters still building a brick mansion

However! there's still some positives to take from this heartbreaking loss.
    1. Obviously Jeremy's much improved 3pt. That hard work over the summer really paid off.
    2. Ball movement. Bill and Bull kept emphasizing this. Rockets are capable of it, there's no reason why they cant do this with James in there.
    3. TJones looked really good out there. Loved his hustle. Looks like he's officially snuck his way into the rotation.
    4. All the shooters (Casspi, Garcia, Parsons) are really struggling with their shots because they're currently either hurt or battling the flu which sucks. Its just a matter of waiting for a couple of them get better to really open the gates on the offense.

And his man went for 36 and pretty much won philly the game. When harden gets his lofs say well his man got so and so as well, so that logic applies here.

Despite the perimeter defense they win the game if they foul. It really is that simple.

You run clock off and then you force them to have to rely on you missing FTs. So it kind of is on the coach...

Indeed, though he still needs to work on his turnovers.

This is a team loss, everyone, especially the coaching staff, needs to work out a plan to improve defense.

...And showing zero signs of learning from last night. That's what frightens/angers me. We can't afford that. I'm officially from 0% to 100% for firing mchale.

James Anderson made his point, the Rockets should have kept him. If he keeps having games like that, the Rockets should have really, really kept him because he was an All Star in the rough. If he never does this again, good move Rockets.

Happy for Anderson. He lucks out in going to a good coach Brett Brown who put 10 players to work regularly. If he had stayed as a Rocket under McHale, he would have been keeping the bench warm.

If these losses happen in March/April, I'll be pissed then.

    Now? It's whatever.

So who would you suggest guard him? Casper the friendly ghost? Our team is limited by everyone high fiving and giving each other the flu!

Pls do not talk about the playoffs. With such defense, maybe we can only play the NBDL playoffs this season.

McHale, pls do some work for this team

Ok, you name a successful play McHale drew and I will give him a pass.

I hate how we expect our guards to fight through screens all night. The bigs need to learn how to hedge in order to give our guys time to recover.

Lin should not pass the ball when hes committed to taking the shot. Those last second passes on the paint leading to a turnover is unnerving.

    A+ offensive game tho

Brewer can't shoot... He doesn't have to be guarded. It would be 4-5 on the offensive end. And I doubt he could guard the entire Philly team by himself. Seems to me the Rockets have a team defensive issue... They looked even worst on defense without Harden...

Parson, Garcia, Casspi, Harden, and PBev need to start knocking down threes. How can Lin, who is considered our weakest perimeter player last year became our best shooter? I thought with Dwight our threes should be easier? McHale needs to hire shooting coach, pronto...
