Please fire McHale. Please Morey, please How many times is McHale gonna have a horrible play out of a timeout? How many times are they not gonna foul when the other team needs a three?
philly stopped doubling dwight in the 4th. problem is that mchale rarely ever makes any in-game adjustment. instead of running pnr or using screens to catch dwight on the move, he just (predictably) threw it into dwight literally 15 times to end the game -- essentially running dwight ISO. mchale would have made a great tanking coach, which is what most of us thought he was originally brought in to be. but he is just woefully inept at everything other than talk-talk-talking in front of the camera. both his offensive and defensive sets are amateurish. his in-game management a disaster. and it seems as though harden has already started to tune him out now. imo, our winning 2 games against a depleted thunder team last year is what saved him from being fired over the summer. the way we ended the regular season was simply unacceptable for the second year in a row. morey and les need to replace him if they have any hope of this team ever advancing in the playoffs.
Letting go of a great coach like Adelman was a huge mistake. Look how he has the Wolves playing. Hiring possibly the worst coach in the NBA a bigger mistake.
I'm starting the jump on this board of firing McHale. He's making too many mistakes in crunch time. With 7 seconds you foul when you're up three. In excuseable mistake considering he saw the exact same thing happen last game
Cant believe what a competent coach would do with this roster. Put in Carl, JVG brothers, any one. We have a contender here. Right now were outcoached every single game.
Adelman was against the rebuild, he wasn't along for the ride that brought us Harden and Howard. Just think Miami and Spo, doesn't mean Mchale and Houston follow the same path. So far we are struggling and we are doubting the coaching staff. Think about the positives though, he gave Jones a shot and he played well. So he kept playing him. Another double, double. Will see how he goes guarding Melo tomorrow.
I think Lionel Hollins would be a great fit for this team actually. Memphis played great defense and were shifting to more pace like the Spurs. Can't believe Memphis let him go. Look where they are now.
I don't have much faith in Le$ or Maury, but I have zero faith in McFail. I can't believe he just used a 7 man rotation tonight. It's the first 10 games of the regular season not the playoffs. He did this last year too. Miami used an 8 man rotation during game 7 of the NBA Finals. The guy is a horrible coach and hasn't improved at all. Compare him to Rick Adelman and what he's doing with the T-Wolves and you'll see that getting rid of Rick and hiring McFail was another mistake by Maury.
The difference in coaching between Brett Brown and McHale was like night and day. He made adjustments, he ran plays, he made key decisions down the stretch that impacted the game. McHale just looks like a goof ball on the sidelines with no direction.
