Welcome to last month. Any other team would be playing NZ anyway. Anything else?

Oh, I'm sorry, you're a REAL NZ fan. We can discuss it:
Well, the coach said he's going to definitely sit back and counter if he could. It hasn't worked. What do you think they should change?

You could see from the kickoff that they were going to try to keep everyone behind the ball. On the road, you have to go forward. They've had a couple of ventures towards the mexican box, but nothing even remotely dangerous. NZ really needed to get a draw out of this and there's little to no chance of that now. They'll have to push forward and that's only going to open things up on the other end.

I wanted to see NZ take it to Mexico. The Mexican team will struggle in the world cup, as they have trouble scoring. This defensive style has allowed Mexico to get in an offensive rhythm. Game over, 4-0 at least, unless NZ changes their attack.

Letting a team have the offensive advantage in a hostile crowd is not the way to play. Bad move, as Mexico has proven the last 2 years that they don't even know how to create with space. Awful coaching. Fire that guy immediately. KNOW YOUR PERSONEL!

    Excellent point.

That which he tried today in the first half had been working for the United States in the first ten years of this millenium. Not anymore. We've just sucked recently and they've gotten better.

Why play a game if your game plan doesn't include taking advantage of another teams weaknesses.

As I am typing this 3-0 just occurred. LMAO

Well, it's not over. Nor is it already a done deal. Plenty of football to play, man. But thank you, anyway. :)

I'm enjoying THIS. I know other people are hating it, but I ain't worried about that. :p

Sweden or Portugal are going to miss the WC, yet Mexico gets to go through. Oh the injustice.

See y'all on the 20th.

Best case scenario for NZL is if they win or outscore Mexico 4-0. Their lone away goal counts as two. If the game ends 5-1, it goes on to extra time, and then if still tied, on to kicks from the penalty spot.

It'll take a massive choke job for Mexico to lose the tie. They literally have both feet in the World Cup! Be optimistic!

99.2% to qualify for the World Cup according to ESPN's little formula machine thingie.

You're going to talk about "not scoring"?

Mister 20-goals-a-game kids team... speaking about not scoring... haha... talk about hypocrisy.

Come on, Dada... you're not actually saying your team should have thrown a game, are you? Well, OK, maybe I thought you'd expect your team to play to the best of its ability and actually WIN... not throw a game... right?

it was a nice win, but Im still mad about that goal, bad mistake.

It was tongue in cheek - and my kids teams were powerhouses, now we are in Division 1 select - or at least my youngest is.....I get to watch others coach now.

And, uh, some are really good, some suck....mixed bag.

    :)
