The Nugs are already playing bad - this move would solidify their pro-tanking efforts. They're posturing for the Parker/Wiggins sweepstakes.
Who would you give up in return, Asik? Would the Knicks want him? Maybe while Chandler is out, but what about when he returns? Would the Knicks engage in their own version of TT?
They have trouble lobbing to Howard, so trying to figure out lobs to BOTH of them would mean how many MORE turnovers...
Denver wouldn't help the Knicks this year unless they're getting a REALLY good deal. Denver has the Knicks's UNPROTECTED 1st draft pick for 2014 (courtesy of the Melo trade). Denver wants the Knicks to crumble this year.
Considering the type of offense we have,Faried is a very good fit!If we face GSW in the playoff, he is a good match up against Iggy!
You are correct Clutch. Its an amazing trade for the ladder part of the year when Tyson Chandler comes back. It might even revitalize Carmelo and help the whole squad play TEAM BALL. Kenneth is an all hustle guy.
Oh right, Denver is losing. My bad. The Orlando trade is whichever pick is the worst goes to them (either their 1st round, or the one the Knicks owes them).
isn't shumpert the guy dwight mentioned that he wouldn't mind having on the rockets - during his sit-down interview with steven ass smith
Bad deal for both teams. Faried would have to play Center (or play PF next to Bargnani, which is de facto playing center). Faried seems kinda redundant next to Melo, and the spacing wouldn't work. Plus, Knicks would be trading their only healthy decent defender for someone who doesn't really defend all that well. For the Nuggets, they'd be selling Faried for below market value and be getting back someone who should be a rotation guy on a contending team; not a starter on a bad one.
I don't see why people call Faried a budding star. He plays with a lot of energy and athleticism, which is great, but as far as I can tell he is limited in skills and has really not added much in that department from year to year. How do you expect him to get better, hustle even harder? He's a great energy guy, probably a solid double double type for the next 7-10 years but I don't see him as a star. That being said, I think he'd make sense in New York. Someone has to rebound over there! Shumpert seems more like a stopgap though with Gallo coming back for surgery.
http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/sto...ts-discuss-iman-shumpert-kenneth-faried-trade Knicks will have no future picks. These two teams love swapping rosters over the years.
Rockets need to get in on this and take Shumpert. He's exactly what we need off our bench to lock down elite athletic 1's, 2's and 3's. Shumpert and Lin would be perfect backcourt compliments to our starters.
