We need to play Dmo too. Casspi isn't shooting that well plus he is injured too. We should play Dmo and TJ depending on the team and who matches well. I would like to see Smith on some games too.
D-Mo played pretty bad defense in the preseason. He was in the pole position for being the first big man off the bench and threw it away with awful defense.
Terrence moves his feet exceptionally on defense I love watching him play D. He is a huge asset on the defensive end and an upgrade on o from Omer. He should start and play 20+ I think Asik will end up elsewhere even if we don't get equal value in return
Seeing TJones get rotation mins (and maybe even start) might just motivate DMo as well. One can hope right?
DMo can get motivated all he wants. If he doesn't get a chance to prove he's worth the minutes (like T-Jones), he won't prove anything.
Dmo doesn't have enough weapons though We need his consistent outside shot, some rebounding, passing. He can't alter shots the way Howard and Asik can and he can't block shots like Howard and Jones.
I don't know why Casspi doesn't post up. He's too attach to the 3-point line. If he posted up some small forwards he still be in Cleveland (leaving cleveland is a positive). He played his best when he was 19 and wasn't too attached to things
The one thing you cannot deny is the chemistry that Terrence and Dwight have together. Interior passing and team defense should not be negated. Speaking of things that will never be negated: http://youtu.be/a36F6vwB-t0?t=2m26s (Or same video @2 minutes 26 seconds here: ) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/a36F6vwB-t0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Jones just needs more experience. I like everything I see from him thus far though. He and Beverley bring good energy and hustle to the team.
I've been saying this since last year. Jones needs minutes. I really believe a lot of the things he does wrong can only be fixed by playing more and getting seasoning. Other than his broke jumper that is. That is definitely something he needs to spend countless hours on in practice. He may not be a stud defender, but he is active and he makes guys work. He rebounds and is a good shotblocker. He can switch between power forwards and small forwards with ease because of his size and athleticism. His offensive game is not as pretty as D-Mo's, but he can be an excellent garbage man if given the chance and he has proven this over and over again. Problem is when he has a bad game he gets glued to the bench again even after having multiple fair to good games. Young players are inconsistent. You see it all around the NBA. Heck most veterans are inconsistent. Free T. Jones!
