Why isn't the TT lineup rebounding better?

Sounds like Dwight's 3s are making an impact on and off the court!

I'd say they're playing Asik for trade value purposes, but McHale has been pretty quick to b**** about the FO leaning on him about rotational things in the past. He must really want it to work.

If either of them have a mid range shot, I would continue to try it, so just stop it.

Maybe they are stealing each other's and not the opponent's rebounds.

I like a leader not given to popular opinion.

And I like people who don't give up at the first sign of trouble.

While disagreeing with Coach, this arm-chair gm/coach yields to him.

What would it take for him to stop doing that?

Can’t wait until the shots start falling & jones running the floor the pick the offensive pace up

jones & howard work well on defense because of jones athletic ability & effort to get rebounds and block shots & he can guard the 4 & sf if he has to switch on defense., SF just can’t blow by him take him to rim like they could asik

he can catch lin & hardens passes better than asik and can finish well around the rim, you can throw lob to him or Dwight this will be fun rockets fans !!

when he gets the rebound he has to learn to look for harden or lin quick and just run the floor, he use to play PG in highschool so he thinks he can dribble up the court at times, that is a easy fix if MCHALE and staff communicates it to him.

From comments from Morey and McHale, it has sounded like a McHale idea to me. I agree that he wants it to work.

Opposing teams are trying to stretch TT and then crash the boards. Small guys are beating the Rockets big guys to the boards.

I'd love an example of anything they're doing that actually makes him want to keep using that lineup. Their defense sucks. They're clogging the lane on the offensive end. And even lousy teams are getting off to huge starts against us.

Hell, you want proof of how bad this lineup is(aside from the Jazz and Laker games)? Look at our home game against the Clippers. We get off to a 18-8 deficit against L.A. McHale takes Asik out and immediately we go on a run and wind up turning a double-digit deficit into a double-digit lead in a matter of minutes.

Yet he still runs Asik and Howard out there against Toronto a couple nights later. He's either the dumbest or most stubborn head coach I've seen in a long time.

So...as long as that pair makes one single good play in the game, they will keep starting TT? This is stupid. A few good plays only mean that TT can be effective at time, which means they can be used during the game, but we've already seen how consistently bad TT is for STARTING the game. That is where we need to change it up.

Coach needs to start using the TT lineup as "a" tool, not "the" tool.

I haven't watched every minute of every game like I normally do, so I can't speak with complete authority. However, what has frustrated me when I have watched is that I haven't seen the Rockets utilize the twin towers to employ the high post elevators once. Why have twin towers and awesome slashers if you aren't going to run that play?
