I love the way Bev approaches his life, and his game. Whether it's starter, role player, or benchwarmer, I really want Bev here for a long time. His mentality is infectious
The thing that most caught my eye from the article: "But there was some talent: a top-ranked St. Benedict’s team with fringe NBA players Lance Thomas and Samardo Samuels, a Dallas team with future NFL WR Michael Crabtree (he could hoop, too) and the eventual winner, Artesia, which had a southpaw sophomore wing named James Harden, who actually caught my eye because of his defense and wasn’t the Cali team’s top offensive option or most highly-touted player."
Talk about believing in yourself especially since he knew he was coming in as the 3rd PG behind Lin and Douglas.
We should all feel ashamed that "Beverley Hills" never came up in the Nickname thread for Pat Beverley.
Not only that, Bev is probably getting less now than he was making with the Russian team. As a true Rockets fan, I cheer for the team, but I hope that when his contract expires, Bev gets a decent raise to make up for his monetary losses.
