Nice list! Agree with all except RWBY, just could not get past the art.
Post all your animes thoughts, we're always interested in discussing all things animes.

@Hayesfan - I still need to get caught up on walkure romance, but kuroko, ace, and you a pedal have been AMAZING! are you not watching Hajime no Ippo? That one is just as good too.

I suspect this has already been posted (apologies in advance) -- I just saw it -- I rarely buy Blu-ray disks, but this is a must have.

I envy you; you're in for a treat. I'm so jealous of the people that have yet to see the great anime/tv shows. I'm surprised you haven't seen this one yet RocketsRed.

Yeah, though the title sounds vaguely familiar. Will be picking this up on blu ray soon. Know nothing of the story, but I'm hoping the violence in this will make elfen lied, higurashi, and another look like kittens and rainbows.

Man! Akira is a classic for sure. For many of us of a "certain age", it was our introduction to serious anime.

Let me go old skool for a bit then...from that era, or a little bit later, the ones to watch are:

-Bubblegum Crisis(the original, not the late 90's remake, though I did like that one as well). 4 girls in powersuits battling crazy cyborgs. The later Bubblegum Crash is not as good.

-AD Police files - a spinoff of BGC. They had 3 original OVAs featuring Leon, one of the characters from BGC. I particularly remember the 3rd one, called "The Man who bites his tongue", which was a Robocop-esque story.

-Gunnm: Battle Angel - these days it's translated as Battle Angel Alita. James Cameron keeps threatening to make a live action of this. It would be awesome if he did, instead of making yet more Avatar sequels. Dystopian world with a flying city and a junkyard below it. Cyborg girl recovered off a trash heap with no memory and a mysterious past. One of my favorites from this era.

-Ninja Scroll - another well known classic, ninjas and tons of killing

-Detonator Orgun - standalone movie about a future earth getting invaded by powersuited aliens who have a mysterious past

-Record of the Lodoss Wars - one of the first real fantasy animes out there. It reminded me of a D&D campaign.

I've watched a ton of anime over more than 2 decades, but I just enjoy the shows, I don't really get into all that otaku culture, so I probably still sound like an ignorant American, hope no one gets offended :)

A few years ago I used to watch a bunch of different anime but haven't watched much in the past few years. Did start and finish (well, to where its at now) Attack on Titan. Nothing amazing but definitely very entertaining. I do agree that the pacing was bad at times though. But I enjoyed it overall. That was the only one I've watched really recently. I did watch Eden of the East a while back too. I liked that a lot. Though I really didn't like the sequel movie they made. Didnt bother to watch the second movie.

I've been meaning to watch some more. Based on suggestions, Baccano! is the one I want to start next. I also want to watch Neon Genesis Evangalion, I caught parts of it when I was younger but never watched the whole thing. And I want to watch the remake movies too.

Have plenty of American TV shows I've been meaning to start too though. Hard to balance my time sometimes.

This movie is an absolute classic -- the first anime I ever watched -- I can't wait to see it in high-def.

There hasn't been a post in a while so I'll just post some thoughts from this season

Little Busters - So mindblown right now that I don't know what's going on nor do I have a prediction. Hayesfan!! I need to hear your thoughts on this lol.
Golden time - still one of my top favorites, still loving kaga koko and Linda, Banri is such a crybaby. from the newest episode
looking like Banri 's main antagonist will be his past self trying to return to how things used to be.
before the episode I thought Banri and Linda will start getting closer again making kaga jealous and becoming a yandere.
Ace of diamond/yowapeda - one word, EPIC. Has one of my favorite elements of a protagonist. The fact that others think lightly of them and when they do something amazing that it shocks them, love seeing characters reaction.
Kuroko - it's basketball 'nuff said. Cant wait to see kise ball.
Kill la kill - just continue to enjoy this. True that it's a love it or hate it anime. The dialog they come up with is great. May have botched it a little but, "even if you make me cry, I will wipe my own tears".
My mental choices blah blah blah long title..... - I like it, it's just pure comedy, silliness, and awesome A or B multiple choice questions.

Will start giving one piece a try starting with the episode crunchy roll has up.

Talking anime is cool, but that other thread with the best combo girls was way better! I can't believe we didn't keep that thread going! LOL.

I'm going to start watching Fate Zero soon. I think that is my next show.

I have been having some issues keeping up with all the new episodes, but the shows I have made sure I watch are:

kuroko - which I love the new kuroko drive! and the back story they are giving us

Walkure Romanze - this one is okay, though this last episode was pure fan service and it was a bit irritating... but I'm still interested in the two main characters and the jousting so I will keep it up

little busters - omg can we talk about the epicness of the plot twists in this show!!
so after the "escape and capture" I feel like the show could have jumped the shark, instead the "reset" omg!! And how everything seems to be following the same path regardless of who is in charge and how everyone basically deserted riki and rin!! I sort of have a foreshadowing thought from a previous episode. They said that they sent rin to a school where a bus full of kids died and only two survived. I feel like that may be Rin and Riki and this is some sort of dream reality that is being used to prepare the two of them for being alone. Though something that bothers me from the last episode is the fact that the "love" snuck through. So I'm to understand they don't get to be together in the end. I'm a romantic!! I need my happy ending for those two!!!

yowapeda - really enjoying the race in the last couple of episodes. I am excited to see how it ends up. I loved the comment by the red haired crazy boy talking about how he could imagine onoda catching up with the two of them shouting their names and saying he was coming! I like how the captain tested his resolve with telling him he couldn't make it to see his reaction. Good captain! You know what really makes this show for me though.. not just that he's an underdog-esque character, but the otaku part of his character. The fact that the austere new friend is willing to try something completely out of character and the bathtub scene at the end of the one episode where he's humming love hina.. oh my god... the end tags of that show are hilarious!

Ace of Diamond - I do like this one enough to make sure I keep up, but I want more.. We keep getting introduced to more and more characters, but we get so little depth. I like the two pink haired brothers. I'm interested in the two different catchers too.. which is looks like we will get at least a little more of that this week.

Nagi no asukara - probably isn't something that a lot of guys would like, but I enjoy it. it sort of has a romeo and juliet like plot going on but more than that it's about acceptance and cooperation between different people. That sort of storyline always attracts me. So it's something that I have been keeping up with.

next I'm going to catch up on Golden Time, Strike the Blood and Log Horizon :)

I just finished little busters for this week... this show really makes me want to cry sometimes.

good episode, but yeah RR14 this thing is confusing.

so Riki is going to try to rebuild little busters from the ground up again... but what is the purpose... to make him stronger like Kyousuke? so that he can survive in "the other world" It was interesting to see Masato say "What's wrong is this world" I still think everything is some sort of dream world due to riki's narcolepsy. Also, he hasn't had a spell in a while, which lends to that fact. I want to go back and look at the clips that are seen during his dreams from the attacks that they did show in the first season - I feel like there is a clue in there :)

At the very least this show is thought provoking - makes me think of LOST a bit

Good shows! Though both end up leaving you a bit hanging. If you like those, then I'm trying to think of shows that might provide you that similar level of story and drama.

Pretty safe bets might be Attack on Titan and Bleach. I'll throw in a wildcard and recommend Ergo Proxy as well if you can find it. It's a bit Blade Runner-inspired, though ends up in a very different direction.

Gantz if you like graphic violence and nudity. Lodoss war was decent for a medieval fantasy fix. Ever seen ninja scroll the movie? Dated classic.
