Well Marciano did survive Capers taking the fall.

Marciano is a bad luck charm. The Bucs won the superbowl the year after he left.

Rick Smith has been a disaster the last couple years

Kubiak -- he's got to own this debacle

Marciano -- laughable that he's still employed

    Details...

He was behaving poorly, causing trouble? Or the release itself was all Jerry McGuire-y? Did he take a fish with him?

Joe Marciano and Rick Smith should be sure-fire canned come January.

Rick Dennison on the bubble unless offense improves.

Gary Kubiak might be safe if Case is "the guy", but health concerns give a convenient out for him and McNair.

Wade Phillips... no idea if he's back.

The release. Not that he was throwing a tantrum or anything, but apparently the Texans handled it pretty cold blooded.

Good, we have so many problems that can be attributed to coaching. I think that Kubiak would be gone for sure if he did not have his stroke. After that happened, I fear that the Texans will be hesitant to fire him due to PR reasons.

Ed Reed should be prosecuted for the money that he stole from us.

You know what,, (Maybe at the end of the day we should be glad that Rick Smith
made the stupid decision to sign him- this might cause him his job, which we all want.. thats the bright spot on this

I keep thinking he's going to retire. There's no way he's a viable candidate for the HC here... (right? (nervous laugh) - but seriously, no way....), and if not here, there's no team that's going to bring him on.

Many people were predicting Wade was brought in as a good ol' boy parachute in case Kubiak flopped. That might well come true

    It's about time.

I always wondered if Kubiak and McNair and Schaub all went to the same church or something like that.

Kubiak and McHale suffer from the same problem. Seriously nice guys who just aren't cut out to be head coaches. That's not a personal knock on them; it must be an unbelievably tough job. Kubiak should coach an offense but not the whole team. McHale can teach big men how to play.

If Kubiak didn't have such strong local ties, he would have never been hired as head coach. And that's not a knock on him. It's a knock on McNair and the GM.

Can we fire the guys who are in charge of the field, too?

That thing has been underperforming for years.

Why would you fire Rick Smith? He has built a hell of a roster on paper. Up to the coaching staff to put that talent in a position to succeed. Kubiak is serious jeopardy? Yeah like 3 weeks ago. Even if he goes 9-7 (Still gotta play Denver and New England) he should still be fired.

Wade Phillips should be right behind Kubiak. Our defensive secondary has been getting their brakes beat off for three seasons straight.
