You're a newcomer to this board, dude. You did not see how this board melted down and went hysterical when Jeremy shot poorly from 3 point land before the ASB last season.

I'm all for Jeremy picking his shots when he feels like it. Don't want another Clutchfans "knee-jerk" meltdown if Jeremy starts shooting his 3s poorly again.

Why don't we ask Tinman for an opinion on whether Jeremy should shoot more 3s? Yo Tinman, need your comment dude. How's Eremy lookin'?

Lin is shooting fine. He should have shot a couple before, but who gives a fk, he played well. Why we harping on his game. jeez.

    Actually he shot 8
2 of them were long two for stepping on the line (one miss)

Great shooting night for Jeremy. He didn't hesitate at all to shoot the 3, and his efficiency actually rose with higher volume tonight. Very encouraging.

40% from 3 (let's say 4 out of 10) equals 12 pts. Same as 6/10 on 2 pt shots. So 40% on 3 is equivalent to 60% shooting of 2 pointers.

That for you guys up there that went to Houston public schools, is how great 40% from 3 translates to in real numbers.

An aspect that is often overlooked in this discussion is where he is passing up shots. A lot of these players know that there are certain area's of the court where they shoot high percentages and other areas where they don't. Could it be that he is passing up shots in the area's where he shoots poorly from 3? I am sure that all of our guys are very aware as to where they shoot the worst from and naturally tend to avoid those areas on the court and sometimes pass up shots.

He better win 6MOY. You don't come off the bench and not make 6MOY your only goal considering how weak the competition is.

Since preseason Lin hits his 15 of his 35 attempts.

So far he is 43% from outside. This is crazy if you look at his stats from last season. He was 34% at 3pters. Now he has improved 9%.

I think he has really worked hard during summer break and it pays off.

it's like those guys, the crawfords, have been trained by Rudy Gay. They can throw up 15 shots in a 25 minute span. Jeremy doesn't seem comfortable even shooting 9 in 30 minutes.

    Crawford will win it again.

James, don't get too frustrated. We hear you. Noone should be passing up good looks. But, it's not as easy as that. It's a slippery slope from having a shooting mentality and not being able to see the court. As a former dynamic pg myself, trust me, it's a hard to balance those mentalities and I'm sure you've gotten flack over it, but Parsons , Harden, and our other perimeter shooters also pass up on decent looks. It's part of the game. Same as passes, you see a passing lane or an open player and you criticize the player for missing it, but on the court, it's much more difficult to see those lanes. Calm down, you're not crazy, we see what you're saying.

He'd have more 3s if he didn't keep stepping on the 3pt line

doubtful Crawford gets it. I see Lin as the 'Derrick Rose' within Lebrons run of MVPs. Something different haha

It's not that big an improvement. He's been shooting 40% since two games before the ALL STAR game last season. Just people want to pick on something with Lin. If its not 3pt shooting, it's TOs, if it's not TOs it's something else. Just trade him already.

last year JR got it right. No Lin has a chance to get it. A strong chance. He doesn't even need to maintain his 66% TS and 61% efg he currently has now. Just needs to be solid and consistent and have a few great nights for the team stay health I am pretty sure he is a lock. And honestly if the rockets are smart they will do whatever they can to ensure he gets it. Try to get him going when he comes off the bench and give him a bit of leeway it doesn't' hurt to have a 6M, MVP and DPOY candidate all on the same team. It makes the team attractive for free agents and it makes Lin a nice bargaining chip for trades.
