Maybe he will quit trying so hard to make sure he's fouled and put a priority on taking and making good shots. I'm all for taking advantage of overly aggressive defense with a strength and handling advantage, but it's gone beyond that. That said, the clippers should be paying double whatever he had to pay.
How did Blake Griffin not get a warning for his flop against Howard? Flopping should be a technical foul, in game, if caught. And an immediate 1 game suspension for each flop. Heavy penalties is the only thing that'll get them to stop.
The faux outrage on here. He was fined and deservedly so. Lest we forget, he was called doing it trying to keep us in the game. I see it as Harden donating 5k to the cause. Next time be more subtle.
He will never be considered a superstar with that defense. Even Melo plays better defense than Harden. Its not even lack of ability. Harden just doesn't want to play defense at all.
Seriously, everytime I hear talk from the NBA about flopping I think about CP3. The president of the players union. The guy who called for tougher regulation on flopping. He hasn't been fined, just warned awhile ago.
Good. Flopping hurts the NBA's image (soccer and diving, anyone?). It just needs to be taken out of the game. They should increase the fines/punishments to really deter players from flopping. $5000 to these guys is pocket change.
Stop obsessng on CP3. That's some kind of passive-aggressive everybody-does-it excuse. Harden embarasses Houston with that weak, lazy crap. I don't care if CP3 falls all over the place; I probably won't see him play again until the playoffs. Fine Harden a million dollars and start throwing him out of games until he stops doing that crap. It sucks.
