Somebody should make a gif of some of the plays the Rockets run today, so shameful, nothing but dribble handoff, ISO, if that doesn't work, dribble handoff, pass to a contested shooter. The Rocket's offense is non-existent..
It's the same stuff they did last season. Honestly I think McHale is going to take the fall this season just in time to bring in Phil Jackson. This is exactly the type of team Phil Jackson could turn into a multiple champion. Just don't know that the triangle would work with Dwight.
Big difference is Luc Longley had a pretty good jumper, great passer in the post and good fundamentals like boxing out.
Remember after RA left, McHale actually kept some of his plays But since everyones been traded, those sets are never to be seen again
So are you really comparing D12 to Luc Longley?? WTF is wrong with you???? D12 is 100X the player Luc could even dream to be!! Just joking. That was just my imitation of some posters here with their kneejerk and subpar reading comprehension skills.
You're an idiot to compare Luc Longley to D12. WTF! You can't read and completely overreact! GTFO & STFU!

I'd take Jackson over McHale but while Les would happily pay his crazy salary I don't think they would give him any ownership or say in roster moves, which is what he wants to come out of retirement.
I think he should consider it. The value of the franchise and its popularity would skyrocket if this team won a title with Dwight Howard, James Harden, Jeremy Lin, and Phil Jackson.
Because McHale is a terrible coach. Even casual players like me know it is best to foul when you are up 3 with few seconds to go.
mchale's coaching team has not offered much in terms of team offense and defense. Outside of fast breaks, we rely so much on individual players heroic plays to score. He just can not use lin's strength and can not develop harden's offense.
Its actually a single play with many different possibilities and outcomes which makes it unpredictable for the defense to counter. Somehow it starts with the power forward or center at the high post receiving the ball in the triple threat position (pass, shoot, dribble drive). Depending on how the defense reacts , there are multiple possibilities. This is the true read and react offense. Somehow Mchale and his assistant coaches managed to recite the phrase " read and react" but the offense they display is a poor imitation or pirated version of Adelman's read and react version of the princeton offense.
Adelman's offense is premised on being unpredictable. Thats the key to a good offense: unpredictability. The problem with Mchale's offense is that the defense can easily anticipate what the team is going to do a.k.a. Harden iso or a variation thereof.
Gross mismanagement of minutes yet again. Keep going like this and you're pretty much asking for either an injury or for this team to be worn down by the end of the year.
