    Article: http://theweek.com/article/index/25...ender-poll-americans-still-prefer-a-male-boss

I prefer a male boss. Everytime I've ever had a female boss, the department as a whole had poor productivity, teamwork, and comeraderie. The boss would constantly give in to ridiculous demands by those under her, and everybody would talk behind each other's back to the detriment of the department and company.

When I had male bosses, this was never the case. Roles were clear cut, and if a person didn't perform, they were shown the door. Everything was strictly business, and it improved productivity and comeraderie because the social hierarchy didn't devolve into a bunch of women talking crap about each other behind their backs, but still having to work together.

    Your thoughts?

Meh, doesn't matter to me. Know your role, don't start mess, and mind your own business. Thats the key to an ideal office dynamic. Not the sex of the boss.

Hmmm... the general populace of a BBS is male... I wonder which way the poll will sway... ;)

HR Department will be HR Department.

I've only had two female bosses and they weren't that good. Then again most of my male bosses sucked just as much.

I've had a handful of both. No preference for me. Each person is different regardless of sex. Sure, a women may feel she needs to go out of her way to make an example out of someone or look important because she's a woman and feels she has been treated differently because of that, but that's not true of all or most women in my experience.

Well, a love relationship at work is definitely a no-no, so I can understand why.

I prefer male boss, although I would rather be my own boss. The only downside of a male boss is you can't blow the boss to get promoted to the assistant VP position. That would be gay and slightly anti-American.

My boss thinks I'm the greatest and gives me hand jobs on a daily basis.

PS - I work for myself

I do better with female bosses. I get my way more with them (getting off early, taking off, etc.). My worst boss ever was a female though. She thought she was the **** and use to always give us crazy goals to meet and the store was run like **** under her. My male bosses have been fine.

I've had good and bad from both. I don't think gender much matters.

No preference either way. I've had good and bad bosses from both sexes.

If a guy boss is an a-hole then he will be all of the time probably. A woman can change by the day...it is terrifying. They bring too much emotion to the work place. I like the idea of a hot female boss but I would pick a guy boss any day.

Should have no preference as an option.

Personally I don't care. Seems I end up with female bosses, never had any issues.
