Maybe he was speaking in generalities, but especially with the way he's playing, maybe the week after your coach goes down with a stroke isn't the time to talk about being out-coached.

I think losing game number 7 hit home so hard he had to just express what he was holding in the whole time.

Ed Reed has brought absolutely ZERO to this team and has been pedestrian at best. If he wants to explain anything to the media it should be about why that's the case.

That said, he is 100% correct. And I'm glad to see someone actually say it. I just wish that it was coming from Watt or Andre.

He knows he won't be back next year, so he's just running his mouth. Just another example, among many, of why McNair needs to clean house.

Because McNair doesn't like people questioning its 2-7 coaching staff. Reed will be gone but the coaches will stay.

This season has been a nightmare ever since we didn't let scraub fight for his job. That's on kubiak. Feel bad for the guy and his health but its the same crap from 2010 and we thought those days were over. Scraub basically took the life out of this team with that ideotic pick 6 to Sherman. Guys are starting to 2nd guess like wtf is wrong with our coaches? Uzncle bob needs to clean house including reed. Him making these comments are the only productive thing he has done all year. Surprisingly, I don't blame them for making this signing. Hit or miss. Extending scraub n kubes are up there with the worst signings like that Oakland CB ray Buchanan in the 2005 year.

The sh***y thing is he is respected throughout the league and by other players so if he throws dirt on the texans other players and free agents will listen to it. It sucks because our losing season is going to hide that he is such a waste of a roster spot and he will get paid by another foolish team

“Me, too, man,” Reed said. “Of course, man, (I wanted to play more). I’m just doing what I’m told for the most part. But at the same time, I know a lot of football. I know a lot about football, I know a lot about this game. I’m not just watching it like a blind man. The stuff I do know, I can’t say to you guys, because it is a team sport. … There’s a lot of soul-searching, top to bottom, that needs to be done, as coaches and as players.”

“It’s a humbling game. It’s just a humbling game. It’s a very humbling game. … You can be all right with that. I’ve played a lot of football and seen a lot of football,” Reed said. “I’ve been around a lot of coaching. So, I have my opinion. But at the same time, (with) you guys, I can’t do that. If I was in the coach’s shoes, maybe I can say a little bit more. But even then, what’s going on in-house stays in-house. We need to make those corrections. And it is what it is, man.”

The Texans are a young organization but from the top down the Texans have been a disaster.

From bringing in a laughing stock like Charley Casserly, to the Bosselli con job, to the drafting of David Carr to Rosencopter Gary Kubiak and the Born Again White Mafia.

What a disaster of a franchise.

So the Texans suck for a decade, they rebuild and the payoff is 2 playoff appearances, including an EPIC choking job in 2012? That doesn't even take into account the salary cap situation going forward.

Normally I don't like players running their mouths, but I am not even mad at Ed Reed. He sees the same thing we do, that the people steering the ship are mediocre at best.

Also, nice job going after Ed Reed, when NO ONE ELSE in the NFL wanted him and he made us wait hoping he wouldn't have to leave Baltimore. Seriously, how arrogant do Kubiak and Smith have to be to think they could evaluate Ed Reed's play better than Ozzie Newsome.

I am sure Kubiak and Phillips will be back, a few cosmetic changes will be made, AJ and Watt will be a year older and we will hear about how the kicking game will be better and we should win 11-12 games.... blah blah blah.

Believe it or not there are worse players starting on this team then Reed.

This team deserves dirt thrown on them because well, they are dead and its time to bury them.

say what you want about Reed, but his general comment is spot on - and as a soon to be one and done - he may be one of the few people that could actually say this type of thing.

From what I've inferred, more of the blame he is throwing is towards the offensive side of the ball and the predictability. I would like him to open up more about this - but I'm guessing that he has tried behind closed doors and been shut out. If he knows what we are going to run once he sees formation - don't you think everyone else does?

I went back and forth with a pain in the ass Rice grad who is so butt hurt that Keenum is the starter that all he wants to do is attack him as a failure for what transpired in the game yesterday.

I didn't see that. I saw a defense that made an adjustment to a) the predictability in the calling b) no running game to speak of - by the late second quarter. What I never saw was a counter move by the offense. Now I should know better than trying to explain this to a Rice grad - but I would sure like someone on the team pounding into the coaching staffs head. Cushing isn't doing it, Watt isn't doing it, Johnson isn't doing it - everyone on this team worships and drinks the Kubiak Kool-Aid. so maybe an outlier is the only one who can address it.

**** - we are paying the guy for something - maybe this is a point where he can bring value

If I'm the Texans, I'd cut him right now.

What do you have to lose?

The guy is a total waste on the roster.

Might as well make an example out of him.

Ed Reed is dumber than a box of rocks

The one thing he used to have was athletic ability, and now even that is gone. So Ed, just shut your mouth.

I didn't say he was old.... but every wasted year hurts. Especially when you are talking about Hall of Fame calibur players like AJ and Watt. I did not throw Cush into the equation because I don't know that it would matter, he needs to prove he can be healthy again.

John McClain is reporting that the Texans are considering cutting Ed Reed, but they want to make sure Matt Stevens rehab is going well and they can plug him into the starting line up.

The team is far from dead, at the end of the day they will still be here next year and competing to make the playoffs just like every other NFL team. People arent grasping the fact that the NFL really is one of the harder leagues in sports to predict. People act like they dont even want an NFL team in houston if it doesnt win a SB in its first decade, well i say F*** off to anyone who wants to jump ship stop rooting and stop watching dont let the door hit you on the way out.
