Bargnani is not "above average" in the NBA. I can't believe people are actually proposing trading for him.

I am pretty sure that the Toronto GM had to ritually sacrifice goats to get him to New York.

I thought Dwight and Nelson aren't on good terms? He said he would like to play with a good PG like Deron or something like that and Nelson took offense.

These trades don't have to make sense for the Rockets. Maximizing Lin's chances of being the primary option is the only relevant metric. Don't be ridiculous.

Were you under the illusion that Clutchfans was a Rockets fan forum?

You think New York and Lakers are dying to have Lin.

Sorry they're not. Because they didn't think Lin was a star when the Rockets did and they didn't match his salary when the Rockets proposed and it they don't want another glorified role player when they are looking for superstars.

And btw. Why don't you go to jeremylin.net or something? This is a Rockets forum. Not a Lin forum.

Barsoftie who is a 7 footer is averaging 2 rebounds a game. Also, Asik's value is far more then this bum and Lin despite his contract can still get us mr whippy or doughboy.

Hahaha did I hurt you ego!I like Lin so you gonna cry more...seriously though, the main reason I wanna trade them now is to unload their contracts while not taking much of a fall, unless Mchale maximize their talents and control the locker room drama and fixed the specific role of each player to maximize their talents, otherwise it's gonna be a bumpy ride!

The Knicks wanted to keep Lin but the offer made by the Rockets was too high to match. So get that straight

And why do yall equate everybody that says something about Lin as a LOF. Can we just talk basketball instead of all that extra stuff.

Another thing who are we to tell anybody to get off this forum. Last I check we had 3 moderators with that type of power.

No you didn't hurt my ego as demonstrated by my smiley face.

No I dislike you on a personal and molecular level because you are very rude on a fansite. The fact that you were compelled to highlight and use the abbreviated version of 'get the **** out' made me think you were a very bitter and unfriendly person. The passive aggressiveness of your post ticked me off because I felt like you are not the kind of person who can have a reasonable conversation without resorting to rudeness. I therefore reciprocated a similar level of rudeness in a completely calm and reasonable manner as a way of demonstrating to your my distaste for your attitude.

Otherwise from a completely objective viewpoint, I do agree with your stance. Although I believe that eventually this situation will mold the team into a united unit, I do agree that McHale needs to take control of the locker room.

I know where you coming from.I like Lin and Asik too that I want them to be successful somewhere in eastern team but I love houston too! So if Mchale can find a role for them that can benefit the teAm lets keep them.Otherwise trade them now save money next year and let's go chase a 3rd all star player .But if we want to contend now, play them where they are suited at!

The idea that Knicks wanted to keep Lin isn't actually a useful one. For example I may say I wanted that cigarette, but my valuation of that product is beneath the offered price, therefore I will not purchase it. If the Knicks wanted to keep Lin, then it is also reasonable to suggest that everybody wants everything but at a price < valuation. So in fact the Knicks wants everyone, just not at the prices that everyone would be offered. The Clippers also wanted Lin, just at a very low price. But they still wanted Lin.

And no it is not the suggestion that upsets me, its the tone used by many LOFs (the usage of the term is due to simplicity of identification not as a form of attack) that upset me. I am of the idea that we should support the Rockets on Clutchfans and that fans who do not care for the Rockets should use a different forum for communication. I apologize if I appeared blunt and rather rude (which I admit upon review of my previous post I was). But usage of Clutchfans to insult the Rockets organisation is deeply annoying to readers and can be seen to impose a marginal cost upon them with every such post, if such sites like the jeremylin.net gives LOFs the exact same benefit and use as Clutchfans, transitioning into such an avenue will give everyone greater benefits.

Simple fix pimpn, hit the ignore button. You shouldn't allow somebody you don't know, probably will never meet, get you all upset like that. It's just a sports forum with a lot of different opinions and personalities.

As long as Lin is a Rocket, his followers will be on Clutchcity and other Rockets forums. Once he is gone then the majority will leave.

Hold on here old chap. Don't you think he has a point?

Your entire post is wrong in that the only metric for trading Lin is not to find a way of maximizing his chances of becoming a primary option. It is actually to get rid of a total net liability of a player from this roster.

The fact is, Jeremy Lin is a bad player.

As a matter of fact, Jeremy Lin is SUCH an TERRIBLE player, that Clutchfans christened him as "A Joke": http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=7332462#post7332462

As such, wouldn't the Rockets, if they were able to trade Jeremy "The Joke" Lin's awful contract and non-factor playing skills for a promising young talent in Jodie Meeks and a veteran 3 point spot up shooter in Blake, actually be getting a net positive in return? The Lakers would actually be doing the Rockets a FAVOUR in taking upon Lin and giving up such talent back, and might even demand a second round pick from the Rockets!

Take a step back, take off your LOH cap, and think about it sensibly and objectively for a moment. Jeremy Lin sucks. He is an awful player. He can't co-exist with James Harden. He won't even shoot his 3s! This is a great way to get rid of him while getting value in return.

Don't be such a hater that you think that Lin is ≥ Meeks and Blake. The fact is, Lin <<<< Meeks and Blake.

This will be an awesome deal for the Rockets

The NY situation was different. They were already paying a grip if money for stoudemire, Melo, Tyson, etc. and with the then new luxury tax looming, they had to pay nearly double Lins salary. And of course he always had people who thought he was a fluke, a backup, no more. Well, he's a backup now diving it's they were right, lol.

To tell you honestly I like you in a very possible way ,resorting to play hero stance but not reading the previous post is completely idiotic though .Anyway,I hope that everything will be fixed by Mchale I still believe that the current rooster of the team can contend, if Mchale can unite this team set aside the personal agenda,we will see Houston basketball again in front pages.Enjoy!
