He gives up just as many on Defense. Seriously, the likes of Reddick light him up. I would take any of the 10 players that I mentioned over Harden.
actually they do.. they think hardens one of the best players in the NBA cuz he gets like 25+PTS a game
Harden definitely is not as good as Dirk or Wade. Both Dirk and Wade have won championships as the main guy. Is Harden as good as Ray Allen? Is Ray Allen a super star in his prime? That should settle whether Harden is a superstar or not.
Again, was Ray Allen a superstar in his prime? Ray Allen scored 25+ in his prime. Was Gilbert Arenas a superstar? Arenas scored 29+ PTS a game in his prime. Of course, how do you define superstars? How many superstars does NBA have? Should you count 5, or 10?
LOL. So if a poster doesn't like Harden he must be LOF. Oh wait, he joined before 2012, then he must be a YOF.
Let's think about this. If he were allowing 20 points/game due to his defense or lack of it, then he might not be better than a solid role player in term of scoring differential. No saying Harden's now allowing 20/game, but you get the idea. So yeah, IMO defense is an inseparable part of superstar status.
Some people just blindly deduce you a LOF if you criticize any other payer on the team. The truth is Hardens scoring is on a superstar level, but that its. The game is so much more than scoring. How can you possibly call someone a superstar when he is one of the worst and laziest defenders in the whole league. Not to mention he is a ball stopper bordering on selfish at times. Harden is an all star at best but its a joke to call him a superstar. As for Lin he may not be a great player right now but at least he plays hard all the time unlike the so called superstar who gets burned on D by every person hes guarding every night and just jacks up shots whenever he wants. We get it people, you hate Lin but please don't make Harden out to be a superstar when he isn't.
http://stats.nba.com/playerShotchart.html?PlayerID=201935&Season=2013-14 This sure looks like a superstar
What I want to know, why was OKC so eager to trade their "3rd star player" behind Westbrook and Durant for Lamb/Martin/etc. When the trade occurred, everyone praised Morey who may have been the most surprised GM. Yes, Harden immediately made an offensive impact and carried the team many times. Last season there were only a few grumblings about his ISO/lack of D, but this early season, we are seeing the results of more scrutiny of Harden. Why did OKC give up on Harden, their golden opportunity at the crown! What did they know that the Rox are just starting to grasp. Maybe as with all championship teams, there is teamwork, stars yes, but in the context of teamplay. Until that time, the Rox will be an also ran.
He can pass, shoot 3 (~38%), get to the rim and draw fouls. HOU offered him a friendly system to play last season. All he did is to keep the energy up and play 40mins a game. Harden's assist is supposed to get more after benching Lin. And his 3PT% is 26.5% only. Triple threats is non-existent.
BTW, Harden actually played some really good defense. He had 2 blocks on the closeouts and unlike the Clippers game in la or the lakers was alert off the ball in the last game. Even Worrel said Harden was actually one of our better defenders on the night. Reddick was being guarded by Chandler. But LOF's agenda must be carried out regardless of the truth. Harden no let linsanity happen. WQhy lord why you let Harden no let linsanity happen.
