The thing is schaub never had anyone good enough to take his job, i say draft a qb cuz competing for the position is a good thing.
i just don't get why keenum was 3rd string...why wasn't he at least ahead of yates? that's why i was hesitant when he got the start at KC.
Not even comparable situations. If Keemun continues to play like this for the rest of the year and we still pick a qb in the first that is a wasted pick.
If they get a good OLB (or a good/consistent pass rush in general), the coverage will magically become better. Really hope either Williams or Quisenberry can compete for the O-line next year.
If there isn't... they shouldn't waste a pick on a CB either. CB's usually need time to develop... and then don't really have much of a "prime" once they get there.
You better hope this is Case Keenum being a really, really good talent rather than opposing teams not having scouted him yet. A sophomore slump in the QB position? Might as well kiss our next season goodbye. I agree with other posters though. A QB may not be necessary. I really hope Keenum keeps it up.
Actually, that's why I said I wanted to see him string together a few good FULL games. The guy was essentially nullified in the second half against both the colts and chiefs after they made their defensive adjustments. Doesn't bode well for Keenums future if that trend continues.
