Frank Isola is a homer idiot. He thinks the Knicks can get Kenneth Faried or Rajon Rondo in exchange for Shumpert. Enough said.
Yes. He's basically Rockets-era Courtney Lee. D and Threes guys aren't that special though. If the Knicks think they can get a star player back for him in trade, they're dreaming.
Haven't seen Shumpert play this year yet, but he's certainly got more upside than just Courtney Lee as a defender because he's more versatile, physical and intense. I never understood why Lee got so many props as a defender. Never impressed me.
I don't think it would be impossible for them to get Faried for him, the Nuggets think he's "reached his potential" and they signed Hickson in the offseason, so he'll probably be traded somewhere.
I heard Shumpert hasn't had the same lateral movement and quickness since his knee surgery. And ever scientists discovered that new knee ligament the other day, I'm really leery of how long it takes for guards to come back from an ACL tear. Look at Derrick Rose... supposedly the same injury as Shumpert, yet much longer recovery time.
-.- Similarly, the Rockets getting Francisco Garcia shows that they aren't too high on Parsons and he's on his way out.
Except there have actually been a number of rumors that Faried will be moved, while there has been nothing that has suggested Parsons is going anywhere.
Would fit perfectly with our team and would give us a reliable wing defender. If he's available I really would love for us to see if we could get him. However...Frank Isola is hardly reliable.
With Tyson Chandler out for a while and the Knicks always desperate to be competitive, could they potentially inquire on Asik's availability?
Remember Dwight's interview with Stephen a smith they were talking about shumpert and Dwight said he can come here referring to houston and Dwight said harden can play the 1 spot
