These are the PG's that is he DEFINITELY not better than in the Western Conference: Chris Paul Steph Curry Tony Parker Russell Westbrook I'll give him top 10. But Bledsoe, Lawson, Lillard. Jrue Holliday are on a similar level. That's no knock on Conley. He's a good but not great PG. He does what is asked of his team and that is facilitate the bigs. Would he be a better player in another system fitted towards him? Possibly.
laugh all you want, but it's a knee-jerk laugh because you have long done decided who you think conley is. Conley has the 2nd highest per among pg's. He is, this year, 96% ft shooter, 2 steals a game, 6 assists a game, on 20 points on just over 30 minutes a game. He's doing this effortlessly.

Here's a number for you: Mike Conley's stats this year compared to Steph Curry's stats, Conley beats him on every single stat except 3 point %, and Assists, and rebounding. Conley has always been the better pure point guard than most of these cats, but now that he is scoring 20 a game, this is the holy grail number to launch him into superstar status.
Okay if he's the better pure point guard, why are Curry's assist numbers higher? If scoring 20 a game as a pointguard is superstar status, wouldn't that make Bledsoe a better player. Here's a number for you: Eric Bledsoe's stats this year compared to Mike Conley's stats, Bledsoe beats him on every single stat except FG% (50% compared to 52%) and Blocks (0 to 0.2 per game). Yep, Bledsoe is averaging more steals, assists, rebounds, points per game in his FIRST season as a leader.
