Coach Mike Malone is not happy about their rebounding and said he'll make lineup changes. Patterson had 2 rebounds in 27 minutes tonight. Besides, he is shooting 36% from the field and 22% from 3 point line. Really in a funk and just doesn't seem to fit with this year's Kings. Whatever offense they are running don't create a whole lot of assisted baskets to wide-open spot-up shooters or cutters at the rim, which are what Patterson lived on as a Rocket. Also, he seems to be taking a bunch of above-the break 3s when the corner 3 seems to be the outer limit of his range (he was almost exclusively a corner 3 shooter as a Rocket). Anyhow, he is really not very effective at all for that team. I wonder if he can be had for cheap in a trade.
Damn, just saw the standings and the East is bad once again. A 4-3 record is 2nd place, which is 6-8 in the West. Too early to say the West is a lot stronger?
