I never mentioned money in my post and I don't dislike Lin so far this year. I actually think he's played relatively well. My point is he's nothing special at the PG spot. Plenty of guys can do what he does. He's very replaceable.
Again, I didn't mention money nor could I start to speculate as to what PGs will be available this early in the season. I actually think Lin has played relatively well. My only criticism of him so far would be his passing.
I agree but they weren't here long, and we went many years before that without any good point guards.
I agree on Bev being a backup and Llin being the better of the two. Yes. Lin's skill set isn't unique at all Yeah. Go check the gambling thread and see how much money I make betting on it. Since I moved here from Detroit (small child) Because that has never been the focus of our team and poor signings like Maloney and Brent Price. I hate the conspiracy stuff. Lin is solid. He's not good (by that I mean he's not All-Star caliber)
Actually i don't think All-star caliber is out of reach for Lin to achieve if he can keep improving, of course it's not superstar type but Jrue Holiday type of all star .
Knee jerkers need to go. Why would the Rockets get rid of their best player in Harden or their best PG in Lin. At worst, Lin is their best guy off the bench.
If you do that how is Harden going to get the ball to be MVP? If Lin is getting by his man at will then Harden will be left twiddling his thumbs and he won't get MVP numbers.
Debatable. James, Dwight, Chandler, Aaron Brooks and Bev are better than Jeremy at this point in time. It could easily change though. Heck, I like JLin, but there are times that I would take Cisco over JLin for his defense, shooting and tenacity.
AB and Bev definitely aren't better. Chandler may be better, but he's so inconsistent right now that he may have actually regressed from last season.
Depends on how we phrase it. If you're saying which players have produced the most toward winning during the 6 games so far for the Rockets, then sure Jeremy is 3rd. But if you asked me which player I'd want on my roster if I could pick. I'd go Howard, Harden, Asik, then I think I'd pick Jeremy or Parsons. Right now I'd pick Jeremy, but it's still too early for me to say for sure that he's overall better than Parsons. If this keeps up for 20 games, then yes I'd go with Jeremy. I still believe Asik is one of the best defensive centers, and that's incredibly valuable. Jeremy would have to play at a really high level over a year to be more valuable than that.
No way AB or Beverley is better. Parsons is better on last season form. He hadn't done much this year to tell you the truth. He was our best player vs Clippers. He did good Vs Lakers. He nearly failed the other 4 games.
I can second that on Asik. I hope he is willing to be the backup center for the team. That would resolve a lot of our rotation worries.
