You have clearly a deficit of basic understanding in reading a post. This is not the first time i see you replying in this forum and sprouting totally nonsense which did has nothing to do with the original post. Knickstorm never mentioned in his line about Harden being inefficient. I dont understand where your reasoning is coming from..... Perhaps lalaland
Dear OP, where does this idea that they can't coexist come from? Both of them are having statistically strong seasons. It's great to have 48 minutes with a good attacking guard on the court, and it's good to have a second attacking-guard option when they play together. What's more, Lin has been shooting well so far this year. There's no problem with their fit this year. Now, if you had said that Asik and Dwight can't co-exist well on the court, I might disagree (might not) but would consider your arguments at any rate. And if you had said the LOFs and LOHs on this board can't co-exist, I would heartily agree with you. Is that what you really mean?
I dont EVER want to see anyone post threads that make fun of the stupid S$#% Lakers fans say on Lakersforum. The Lakers game knee jerkers have brought a whole new level of stupid to the GARM this week that ruins all the fanbases' credibility.
I thought Lin play well in that last game. In fact, he play so well that he should be the go-2-guy against the Lakers instead of Harden who keep jacking up shots and missing it instead of attacking the basket. I mean those are the key possessions, you attack and get the basket and seal the victory. Nobody can guard you one on one especially those damm Lakers, why not attack it. I just don't think Harden make smart decision....same w/ Howard. If it's Lin, he would have attacked the basket or pass out for someone wide open. Here's what i will....i will first let Lin control the ball and let him attack the basket and if nothing is there...quickly back it out and let Harden have the ball and let him do his thing. I want to see that sequence than just hand the ball to Harden and let him run the clock out...it's so stupid strategy.
so far the guy is overrated. his is good not great. his attitude is questionable too. oh if you talk about stat padding, yes he is very talented.
What a horrible thread. The Rockets aren't getting rid of Harden that is just ridiculous. Many people don't like Lin but it's not easy to find a pg as good as him. Beverley isn't even close besides the fact that he starts. We should be happy with these two players and cheer for them to get better.
Do you watch the rest of the NBA? PG is the deepest position. Guys like Lin are a dime a dozen. Beverley has been bad this season though. No question about that. I think we have two backup PGs but with Lin he at least is a more capable 6th man because he can create his own shot
I don`t know what your intention with this thread was. First, if your premise was true it would be clear, that Lin would go. Harden is the cornerstone of this team, whether you like it or not. Lin is a good role player with potential. Second, I strongly disagree with your premise. They can coexist and our backcourt of the two is not the reason for our recent stuggles. Lin is improving his 3pt shooting and is great at driving and dishing the ball. Harden is great with the ball, but also always a thread without the ball. The reason we are struggling is, that we haven`t gotten everything figured out yet. Twin towers, rotations, PF position, lobs, entry passes, spacing - a lot of open question marks. This team has got some growing to do - and possibly some trades (an Asik trade gets more likely every day...). So no, neither of them has to go. We as fans have to give them time, hope that McHale can figure things out and have trust in Morey. We have a great team of young players, we have 2 superstars and we have all our draft picks. The sky is not falling, the future is looking bright despite some growing pains!
lol the dislike you guys have for him shows in every post. sure there is a dime a dozen if you had the luxury to draft a top pick. look at the list http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball/fantasy/nba/playerstats/14/2/eff someone of lin's caliber will end up get lin like money. And if lin took as many shots as some of those he'd be up t0 19 pts.
Who exactly could we get of Lin's caliber? The PG position is deep, but good ones don't come cheaply.
Harden has more trade value. So he is the one to go. Seriously, though, these two did pretty well last year even with a recovering Lin and a hobbled Harden after February. The team is now 4-2, with 3 NBA teams TOTAL having a better record than them. Way too early to push the panic trade button-- and panic trades are not Morey's style.
Who cares about Lin's caliber. Howard wants an "elite" PG. Take your pick and weep cause it ain't happening: CP3, Parker, Rose, DWill, Westbrook, Curry.
Don't get me wrong, I like Beverley and I'm glad to have him here. Beverley is a good backup pg but he isn't close to Lin in his overall game. PG's like Lin are a dime a dozen? Do you watch the NBA at all? Have you been a Rockets fan for long? If they are a dime a dozen why have we went so many years with crappy pg's. We finally have a good pg and coaches want to bench him, while fans want to run him down. This doesn't make any sense to me.
What if we trade Lin for assets, and then trade Harden for Lin and more assets. That way we could keep Lin and have a ton of assets to trade for a superstar! Get it done, Morey.
