From the video, you can tell he's enjoying it and he did it intentionally from the comments like "what a coincidence!" and laughing about the Ron Wilson thing.

Artur Davis enjoyed broad support among whites in Alabama. How do you explain Bobby Jindal in Louisiana? Blacks voters supported Obama in overwhelming numbers, largely based on race, despite the fact that his policies have been a disaster for their interests.

It is a shame when you look at cities across America that have majority black populations. They are in ruins, and residents are fleeing to safer areas to live. Poorly informed voters must take it upon themselves to elect better leadership. This article really highlights the problem.

What is a person who was black and being around white people so much had more than ample opportunity to experience prejudice, preconceptions, and expectations placed on him from being black, and at the same time has spoke less about race both during his campaigns and presidency than any other president in recent times despite his opponents bring up race over and over again like you just did?

What? The only elections he won were in his minority-majority district. When he ran for state office, he didn't even win his primary.

Besides, black voters vote for white candidates all the time. I don't where this idea that they only vote by race comes from. It seems born out of total political ignorance.

How do you explain lack of support among black voters for Herman Cain, or Alan Keyes?

What is insulting and ignorant is when you believe black voters aren't capable of voting for their own interests and beliefs when it comes to candidates but instead vote only based on race.

And you get mad if anyone dares to suggest any sort of racial bias when it comes to white voters, who of course are able to discern all the complex issues involved.

So are you denying there is a large group of White voters who will only vote for a White Christian?

Deflection / Tu quoque is not a solid debate strategy. Just sayin'.

EDIT: I mean to say that there are obviously voter ignorance issues all over, so that doesn't excuse any one group.

If you watch the video its clear it was his intention and gameplan. He had no problems with it.

He is enjoying winning because he said he didn't think he had a chance. Seems natural, no?

His game plan was to send mailers with people on them. Nothing even remotely implied he was himself black. This is a media fail, that falsely makes the voters look racist. The video is extremely short on his quotes and mostly has him laughing about his endorsement from his cousin or whatever.

I am very willing to believe they just voted out the incumbent. Anyone here have a problem with a guy on that toxic board being voted off after 20+ years?

Your an absolute idiot if you don't think he had any intent of leading potential voters to think or assume he was black. I really don't even need to say anymore. When you realize how questionable your intelligence may be for disagreeing.. I don't want you to try to save face and claim 'HAHA GOT YOU I TROLLED HARDYHARHAHAHA'. Because that wont work.

Much less a media fail, this is a Bandwagoner fail

It is so weird how two people can agree completely on a coach and basketball player but other topics, have such vitriol.

I'm not saying the Black voters are racist.. or that they didn't vote the white guy in because they were so fed up with the system. That could very well be a possibility. What I did say is that the white guy did intend to lead potential voters to assume he was black with some marketing techniques with the hope that people would vote for him because of that.

I just don't see how any reasonable or rational thinking human being could possibly argue against that.

Not shocking poor people are dumb they vote for whoever tweets them or whoever has pumper sat the grocery store and democrats have to text them on Election Day to remind them to vote for their entitlements otherwise they wouldn't know most don't watch the news or know what's going on. Good for him play on their ignorance lol I love it basically proves my theory a black republican vs a white dem for president is the solution

They ought to make a movie about this. The white incumbent dies and a black man with a same name run in his place.

So we're to believe that an overwhelmingly black district voted for the Republican simply to get the incumbent out of office?

Why is SJL still a US Congresswoman, then?

You are not correct on this one. The "R" next to your name is TOXIC in the black community. If you're gonna win in an area like that with an "R" next to your name then you'd better have another card to play... like being black.

    It is what it is.

Because her district seems to like her. A few years back (2008?), an overwhelmingly black district in Louisiana voted for an Asian Republican House Rep when the Black Democrat was in a messy ethics/legal scandal. This idea that black people only vote for other black people is stupid and not founded in evidence. There is far more evidence that a large segment of white people only vote for other write people than there is with black people.
