We had some offensively challenged role players who could not score during the Yao and Mac Era. We relied heavily on McGrady.
This is not the case now.
We have more offensive options now.

He needs to sit down for a while, that would change his view of this game, maybe one day he will become a team player.

Why is everyone suddenly hating on James? It's not like his defense was any good last year. We still need him.

Good luck consistently winning without your best player.

James Harden is the last guy on this team I'll complain about.

Jeremy Lin holds Linsanity back. If Lin is as great and strong as so many of y'all think there is no way another man can stop him from being great... mentally he needs to be stronger to reach his potential. It's cowardly to point fingers at other people each man has a chance when he has the ball in his hands... Jeremy gets lots of opportunities on both sides of the floor so he just needs to get out there prove his worth and dominate.

Oh please don't play through it. It's a long season.

Take a break and just let Jeremy control the ball.

Am I the only one who remembers last year when posters did the exact same thing to Harden during his first rough stretch of the year? People were saying ridiculous things like we'd be better with him injured and not in the line-up. Lin fans and Knee Jerkers should be ashamed of themselves.

I am not sure which season you are talking about, but McGrady's first few seasons as a Rocket, I would not call him a 'terrible team player'. He was actually a very good and willing passer. Ask JVG.

His last year, sure, he was not good. But McGrady in his prime was not a terrible team player, and was actually a pretty decent defender. He shut down Dirk in the playoffs at one point. I think McGrady's problems came with offensive efficiency and shot selection.

So, in other words, Harden and McGrady are not really similar at all, if you had watched them play.

Sometimes players get to thinking they have to do it all by themselves, and then when they sit they see the other players getting it done as a team and they come back and accomplish more by doing less.

Hakeem did that, maybe Harden will too, he is trying too hard.

If he sits too many games, how will he be an MVP candidate?

McHale should rest Harden because we beat the Clippers without him last year

Because the main thing everyone wanted him to improve on hasn't improved.

Not all teams, but the Clippers, is probably one team that a line up of Howard, Parsons, Garcia, Lin, and Beverley ma actually work better. Garcia, Lin, and Beverley is probably much better than Parsons, Harden, Lin/Bev. Garcia and Lin will easily compensate for the points missed by not having Harden.
