And apparently he failed his job... The coaching group has to accept the truth, J Harden is not a count general.
and MOREY his plan is harden needs ball in his hand so bev on cheap contract can be a spot up shooter (Kobe/shaq) but MOREY I have knees for u harden/Howard/ are not (Kobe/shaq) and MCHALE is not PHIL JACKSON
pgs can't have delayed stickiness to their game, as in massaging the ball til it reaches a happy ending. why do you think all the talk about stevie to the 2 came about? It's just ugly non team oriented basketball. "let the pg play the pg position" Murph
Harden's defense is atrocious as it is. Fast point guards will eat him alive. Harden is a good passer, but no where near great. He would be a very average playmaker compared to other point guards.
no. never. pull him out of the position NOW. these coaching staff need a 5 tonne hammer land on their head to wake them up.
Harden/Beverley/Brooks Garcia/Lin Parsons/Casspi Dmo/Jones/Smith Howard/Asik I actually like this lineup. This unclog the paint for both Howard and Asik to do their job. Garcia and Parsons can be open shooters if Harden and Howard is being double teamed. Same goes for the bench. Lin, PB, and Casspi can all shoot 3s. Asik will dominate the center vs all benches.
I'd like to see Harden run the point. Harden, Bev, Cisco, Parsons, Howard Bring Lin, Casspi, Asik, and one of the PFs off the bench.
Who guards PG in this lineup. Either Bev or Lin has to be in starting lineup for this reason. And have Casspi in for Dmo and Garcia in for Parsons. Now Harden has more spot up shooters and he and Dwight have more room in the paint. Harden Bev Garcia Casspi Howard Lin Brewer/Brooks Parsons Dmo Asik
we're fine with bev or lin starting, harden already has enough trouble guarding 2's so why put him on a PG? We just need stop with this BS twin towers experiment, just look how well that went for L.A.
Funny this is how I suggested else where that Harden should be the the official PG of the team. That would resolve the PG confusions with Lin playing SG/PG so I don't see a problem there. Now after reading a few replies I realised how foolish I was that Harden can't guard opposition PGs. I never took defense into consideration and that explains why he is only a PG in the attacking half court.
There was a thread earlier this year explaining why Harden and Howard should be the only ones practicing mid-range shots.
