Hmm, good point. This happened when I switched to a Note 1 on AT&T so I'll head to the TMo store tomorrow.

LTE is working fine for me, but I've heard others having problem (briefly discussed this earlier). Might need to call T-Mobile about it and make sure they have the Nexus 5 IMEI in their system for you.

I guess I haven't had many phones with great batteries, but what is some common on-screen times for you guys (with or without the Nexus 5)? I can get 15+ total hours easy with the Nexus 5 (probably more like 20+), but I don't really keep the screen on too much. Seems like no matter what, you probably won't get much more than 4-4.5 hours of on-screen time with the Nexus 5 (maybe if you tweak the screen brightness some). That seems like plenty to me, but I've noticed some people think that isn't enough. Some people have been asking me about the Nexus 5 battery life, and I'm not sure what I should tell them.

    On a side-note, I like these videos of camera comparisons for the Nexus 5, S4, and iPhone 5S;
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/s-6AszlQIIs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Qp6clWG-b5c" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Seems better to me than what a lot of reviews have said (other than complains about the camera app itself). Far from bad/average IMO.

Pretty much what I saw from the comparison pictures. IS will make an even bigger difference in real world use.

On a debbie downer note, if you want your life's memories recorded with the worst possible camera form factor on the market today, use your camera phone.

    Thanks.

BTW, I've had ART enabled for 24+ hours, and haven't really noticed any drawbacks (other than the initial boot, which was quite lengthy). I know some apps aren't compatible (big one being WhatsApp, which I don't use), but haven't noticed any incompatible apps myself. I think I read that Android Police might put out a follow up article (with comparisons of the runtimes) pretty soon.

Guys I'm desperate. I can't order from Google Play Store, it's not available in my country. How can I get a sim free, unlocked Nexus 5 32GB ASAP?

What country do you live in? I'm pretty sure Amazon ships internationally, but I heard Amazon will only sell the 16gb version (at $499)

I want a N5 but TMo website says 3-4 week ship time. Do they sell theses in stores? Maybe I can call around and hunt for one in stores.

Tried it with SlimKat 4.4 ROM. I kept getting force closed errors on some apps on startup. Reverted back to Dalvik. Haven't tried it on Stock ROM yet.

I've had a similar experience with ART also. It's not really noticeably faster for me, and the biggest change is probably the boot time. Installing apps didn't take much longer than usual, though I didn't install any large apps. So far so good.

One annoying problem I'm having with the nexus 5 is accessing files/folders when connected to my pc. When connected, it on shows a few folders, downloads, DCIM, gallery etc, leaving out a ton of program folders, which my galaxy 3 and 2 both shows. This leaves me unable to transfer files I've download via torrent on my phone to my pc. Anyone know how I can access those files to transfer on the nexus 5?

I think the Nexus 5 only shows the "Internal Storage" folder which is /sdcard -- not sure if there is an app or something adb that would open up Windows Explorer to read the root folder which is what I'm guessing you are trying to get to.

ES File Explorer is the app I use whenever I want to move files around. My phone is rooted so I'm able to get to the root folder, and then if I need to get anything to my computer, I just move it to the /sdcard folder.

Been running it too. Haven't noticed much of a difference besides apps like facebook which have virtually no more lag at all.

Thanks. Ill guess ill look into es file explorer. With root and es File explorer, will i be able to directly access the root folders and transfer files between the pc and nexus 5?

No. I don't believe so. I don't know if there's any way you can actually see the root folders through your PC. But ES File Explorer will let you access the root folder from your Nexus 5 and then you can transfer whatever you need from there to your /sdcard folder which is the folder you'll be seeing on your PC.

EDIT: With a little bit of searching, I found this > Android Commander -- Seems like it works for what you're looking for. I just tried it out myself.
