I think most of the fans not being able to watch the games has made harden seem better than he is. He puts up great stats, just like he did yesterday but watching the game on TV makes you realize that Harden is almost as ineffective on defensive end as he is effective on the offensive end. Since the defensive lapses do not show up on the stat sheet, he is perceived to be a much better player then what he is showing to be right now. I think Mchale should have considered not playing him on the last defensive play just to send a message that the defensive effort cannot be tolerated. Most of the 3 pointers other teams get have something to do with harden, either bc he is not rotating or someone is rotating to help out after hardens man burns him, All of which is missed by those who cant watch the games. For those who can watch harden regularly was his defensive effort against the lakers and exception or an example how he plays on D every game?
You're exaggerating by suggesting he's a net zero overall. Look at his RAPM last year. 12th best in the entire league is clearly an indication of an elite player.
JFC. Get this stuff out of here. Overreact much? Harden is a star player. Flawed, but a star nonetheless. Stars like Harden don't grow on trees.
yesterday emotions were high, things were said, feelings were hurt. Looked how rowdy we got and we're just watching the game, I can imagine how it'd be like to be on that court. That was yesterday, I'm not hung over it anymore. I think the Rockets aren't at each other's throat anymore either. You guys should be over it too.
