Where do you see Dwight Howard ending up in NBA's Best Centers list?

Going by all these lists of top centers in NBA history examples. The list of the Top 10-15 have always been very consistent, especially the Top 5 which is always the same 5 players.

It maybe still early, but Dwight's already been in the NBA for 9 going on 10years with only about a handful more years of All-star productiveness - what you see now is the type of player he's likely always going to be.

As far as Top 15 in NBA history, the Tier 1 (top 5) slot is practically a lock, the Tier 2 (top 10) has very few wiggle room, but is the Tier 3 (top 15) something you see Dwight being able to get in? Or do you forecast him somewhere in the top 20 list - where guys like Bob Lanier, Artis Gilmore, or Ralph Sampson may even be in?

Technically, for Dwight to be a Top 15 all-time center in those lists, he should at least be a Top 3 all-time Rockets center which is better or equal to Elvin Hayes.

Can you see Dwight Howard crack the Top 5 spot as one of the best Rockets center? And what spot would he land on?

I don't really know the stats of the tier 4 guys, and only really know the stats of Ewing in tier 3. But I can't really see Howard cracking even tier 4.

Who the hell would put Shaq over Hakeem?

Anyway, Dwight is at least tier 4.

This.. when discussing Dwight's place historically, one must consider competition. The center position has been subpar Dwight's entire career.

    I don't, but there's definitely an argument.

Stats are comparable (Shaq 24-11-2 / Dream 21-11-3) but I think the writers went with # of hardware hence Shaq (4) over Dream (2).
