Hey guys. Today I depart Houston to good ole Todd Mission, Texas! Anyway, I was hoping to get a checklist of items to bring with me to compare to what I am already bringing. My current items: -Tent -Blankets -Pillow -Clothes -Toiletries -Marshmallows -Drinks -Snacks I only plan on staying for the night and head back home tomorrow night for the Clips game. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and will be accompanied by Reps.
We always take a lantern. Also, take charcoal lighter fluid to start campfire if wood is wet or damp.
You will definitely need matches and/or a lighter. I would bring some insect repellant (even though it will be chilly, it's better safe than sorry). Flashlight or like the poster above said, a lantern. Alcohol is a must if you drink. Bring a knife of some sort, you never know.
Needs: Lantern/flashlight possibly both. Mathces, lighter fluid, possibly an ice chest depending on what you're going to cook. Knife shovel for digging latrines and covering your human waste. Canteen or water bottle backpack or something to take essentials when you go Toilet paper garbage bags Utensils to eat with (possibly a can opener). Paper towels Things that are nice but not necessary: A hatchet moist wipes Disinfecting wipes an extra pair of sox flip-flops towel cards skewers or coat hangers for roasting marshmallows and or hotdogs. A grill that can be placed over the campfire to rest pans etc. on when cooking
I'm assuming you're planning on attending the Ren Fest as well since you said you'll be heading back tomorrow night? We've been twice this year, and already have the tickets for one more trip. We always bring some small workout towels, sunglasses, hat, sun block, cash (can't stress this enough), and since they never check, a bottle or two of water (I rarely drink mine, since I focus most of my attention on the mead and beers). Definitely bring some comfortable shoes you don't mind getting dirty. If we're expecting rain while we're out there, we bring ponchos. Earlier this year everyone was asking where we got them when the rain started coming down. They were disappointed when I said we brought them. I think the highest offer I got was $25+a beer They have bonfires by the campsites, so you may want to bring a chair. Be sure to check the weather report to see if you need an umbrella (or one of the things that goes over your tent to keep it directly off the tent. I can't for the life of me remember what they're called......a rain _____?) The Ren Fest app is great for reading about shows and booths, choosing the ones that interest you, and scheduling your trip. It even has a map with navigation on it (it's easy to get lost out othere). Spoiler Did I mention CASH?
Just... one breast? I've seen odd stuff at the RenFest, but... never a one-breasted woman. Spoiler To the renfest!
