I just want to see how successful his isos are. Also he's got to be one of the very few players who dribbles the entire shot clock down then passes or shoots.
harden needs the ball in hands, and bev needs to start so he can shoot the 3 because he is the best spot up shooter
too small of a sample size for now imo, but last year, he was among the top 50's (around 40 if I remember correctly) in isos, which is really good, and even better considering he isos so often.
I forgot but last year I think he had like 1.37 PPP on Iso's which was one of the tops in the league if I remember correctly.
i think we need the stats for his iso during clutch time, he would look for the open man if it's middle of the game, but near the end, he just want to shoot himself.
his ISO is not the problem, problem is how he get it. when he is not getting it in the offensive flow, hog the ball from the very beginning of a posession, and run the clock down and other teammates not moving, even he make it, you are going to have trouble. same thing kobe did to the lakers, other guys lost interest of the game, body get cold, not active in the defense end, being lazy on loose balls. and eventually this thought will get into their heads: why he get all the balls and i get all the hard jobs? why put effort if it is not shown on stat?
doesn't matter how good he is with iso. if the same play keep over doing it, it fails! Opponents aren't stupid.
I liked it when Harden passed the ball to Garcia with about 6 seconds on the shot clock and Garcia couldn't do anything and passed it back to Harden with 3 seconds left. Now he knows how it feels getting the ball with only 3 seconds left.
