Oh yea forgot about that they are like 12 hours ahead. Is this a good buy? I am holding right now MGM, waiting for them to build a casino on the cotai strip in Macau, they are one of the last big guys without it. They have slowly slowly becoming positive again thanks to their casino in Macau, this second one at Cotai I think will tremendously help them.
They aren't as bad as the other scams that are out there, but they are losing a lot of money. I only glanced at their financials. I guess show me something that says they are good. Mary Jane is still just an herb. Why does it need Growlife's products to grow better? There are a lot of places right now that sell hydroponic setups. What does Growlife do that is special or unique for plants besides their marketing?
you have some good points.. there are lots of online marketplaces, amazon, and ebay that DIY growers can buy supplies and nutrients at. they own the distribution channels. I think that is the main thing. If they can keep expanding and acquiring smaller channels to incorporate, then they will be able to offer the best prices. they are wholesale and retail. they are the big fish in the niche/MJ gardening arena.. I just really like the position they're in. The losses they're incurring are bc of the expansion expenditures.
Firstly, I'll be petty and say this to eddie.... BAHAHAHAHAH Second, robbie, given that their mobile side is still going strong are you still on board for them at $8.50?
I'm so petty but BAHAHAHA That said, I really hope the company does well. Until it gets over it's production problems and gets more cars in Europe, I can't see it being value properly at it's previous highs. I don't know enough though to say whether now is a good point to jump back in. Third reported fire doesn't help either.
Saw IAG got whacked over the past week or so. Looks like there is talk of them cutting their dividend and they have some delays with their mines.
Here is my summary: MSFT, T and VZ are paying off nicely since my September purchases. AAPL still sucks but I got the consolation prize of a 2% divedend when I bought them at $535 last year - sold at $515 this year. Cheap tablets could be their death. I really, really want to start buying EMES and HCLP - frac sand companies.
Yeah that's the problem with lithium ion batteries. They can catch on fire and explode. My friend who works out on an oil rig in Colorado was telling me about how one of the drilling tools with a lithium ion battery had a huge explosion a few months ago. The thing with TSLA is I am curious how the company is going to react when battery technology makes some quantum leaps in the near future. There are some major developments coming in the next 5 years or so. Anyhow, TSLA certainly could catch a bounce here, but I'd stiil be inclined to wait for weeks and weeks before looking at buying it. The stock is completely broken. Every rally is going to be met with sellers that are stuck holding this stock from higher prices. Maybe look to buy it around $100? I honestly don't know. It almost reminds me of NFLX when it crashed. Maybe this thing will get back down to $50 eventually now that people are recognizing all the difficulties that are in front of TSLA. It is a car company....not a tech company like how people were valuing it. Maybe when everyone hates TSLA and when people start turning on Elon Musk then it might be time to buy. I dunno...I think the bottom is a long way away.
one problem I see with Tesla cars is that they're not luxurious enough to justify the price and market segment they're aiming for (Model S/X) and that the genIII will be priced above its ideal target market segment. build quality is so-so.. as I've said before a new honda accord has better build quality (door close quality at least) than the Model S so what does that say about the genIII?
existing luxury brands have stepped up their attention to detail on the interiors and with build quality/fit n finish. so ppl wanting to spend that much money will buy a tesla bc they love the electric drive >> main selling point if they're more into the luxury and don't give a damn about the environment or electric driving then they're going to buy a 5series/7series or an E-Class/S-Class
I might be wrong but I think the core of the battery technology at TSLA is not the battery itself, but rather how they packaged it. They did not develop a mega battery that can hold enormous power, they just found a way to package currently available high energy density batteries safely and efficiently. If battery technology makes a giant leap, it is possible that they don't need to do all that much to keep up with it.
