Clearly Howard yelled Lin for his last play on the TNT, sources are likely true.

That wouldn't be a bad trade. Lin is averaging 3TO/g and he doesn't even handle the ball that much. He would be better of as a scoring point. With Harden and Howard he can't do that.

Maybe the OP is right, but what does he really mean?

There's a big difference between Dwight telling a friend, "I wish the point guards could figure out how to throw me a better lob pass" and "I want them to trade for a new pg pronto."

Just admit that McHale was outcoached.

I don't put that one on Lin tho. If you re-watch the play you will see that Steve Nash practically bear-hugged Lin. If anything I would blame him for not embellishing the foul so the refs would have to call it.

Either way, it is a shame that none of our guards can get a decent lob to Dwight. I mean if Jameer Nelson can do it effectively, why wouldn't Lin, Harden, or Beverly be able to as well?

    BU-WA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA, AH-HA-HA....

Good one. (sniff) Unh. (sniff) Hilarious....

    Oh, wait, you were serious.

Forgive the sarcasm, it's just that....McHale is the no-discipline daddy, you know?

    ----

PatBev: Daddy, can I have some ice cream?

McHale Daddy: Did you eat your peas?

PatBev: Yeeees! (fingers crossed behind back)

McHale Daddy: Oh, okay, go ahead.

Harden the Rebellious Middle Child: (aside to PatBev) Why you ask for it? Just grab it. What's the worst he's gonna do?

PatBev: Hey, you got your big contract. I gotta be nice boy.

Harden: Next time just ask me, I'll get it for you.

ok. i'm been lurking on the forums for awhile now but i feel the need tell all of you this...

ALL OF YOU ARE OVERREACTING!!!! ALL OF YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN!!!

This is the real world. It's not going to be bubblegums and cotton candy all the time. Players are going to get frustrated and yell at each other after a disappointing loss. Stop it with the over-analyzation of every little social interaction between the players on the court. Stop it with trying to read between the lines of every little things the players say in the interview.

and Stop it with trying so hard with trying to make dwight howard look like the bad guy by twisiting his words....WE'RE ONLY SIX GAMES INTO THE SEASON!!! AND, DESPITE ALL OUR TROUBLE OF INCORPORATING EVERYONE IN OUR OFFENSE AND THE CHALLENGES OF THE TWIN TOWERS, WE HAVE ONE OF THE BEST RECORD IN THE NBA. The challenges we are experiencing right now is expected when you are trying to incorporate a new star player on the team. Look at Miami, they didn't all click right away...their were many naysayers that said Lebron and Wade couldn't get along cause both of them are ball-dominante....GIVE THEM TIME!!!!

Trading won't solve anything. You'll just be surprised when the team still loses, because the same things will happen. It's about how we play.

This would be a better team with Brooks playing and Lin gone as part of a package for a stretch four.

Oh, and you *will* see the red blazer again.

if it weren't for that stupid inbound to him in the final minute. was it Parsons? Parsons has shown no improvement.

Minor tinkering would solve the problem. We don't need a Morey move right now, we need a chemistry move, like bringing in Andre Miller to control the pace and keep everyone calm for 12 minutes per game. Establish the tempo... Lin & Beverley are solid basketball players (not point guards) but they're not leaders on offense and neither is Harden.

McHale isn't the type of coach to do these things, to create sets that allow guys to excel. These young guys need an identity. If we don't have the right coach to do it let's bring in the right player. Hell, I'd even take Jason Kidd if he was available. A minor move would help...

Otherwise we can wait this out for 35 games until they figure it out on their own. McHale wont help with that, the players will have to find their own identity. That takes a long time with young teams.

Who's the real PG of this team in the first place? All I see in Lin and Bev are just pretenders. They always pretend they have the ball. :) If anything, Howard and Harden should be the ones to talk. Besides, shooting 5 out of 16 from the free throw doesn't even give him the right to complain. 16 free throws just means you've got an additional 8 positions. That and his FGA, why complain?

If Howard wants to take this Rockets team to the promise land (Championship). Dude will have to take the game more serious than he do now. All that dancing and playing around needs to stop. I don't have any problem with them having fun and enjoying their job. But when it's time to take care of business, that needs to stop.

Did all that dancing around and went 4-16 from the freethrow line.

I'm flabbergasted at how so many people want to trade our most efficient backcourt player to this point of the season. Why? Because this particular player causes to many unnecessary posts on the bbs? Stop caring more about the bbs than the actual team. If anyone actually cared about the team they would never want to remove a player who is playing as well as Lin is this season as a damn 3rd/4th option on this team.

This whole bull about it's best for both parties is hor****. When Lin is on the court this team is better. Our weak link isnt the pg position but the 4. Our best line up is easily
    lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Casppi
    Howard

No ifs ands or buts about it. That is easily our best offensive line up, and if you couldn't tell, NOT having that line up in the first quarter prevents this once run and gun "we ****ing score 140 on your ass" offense from even scoring 20 god damn points.

Here is a common sense theory I'm throwing out there. Listen up Mchale. Why not just score as many points at the BEGINNING of the game with a fast start on offense with your best offensive line up and THEN D it up with the twin towers.
    1. Build the lead with offense
    2. Hold the lead with defense

Not to be cyberx's defender, but there's probably a good reason for being incredibly vague, or for couching his comments in such a way that his identity doesn't become super-uper-duper easy to guess.
