I haven't been sick the morning after a loss like this in what feels like, forever. Probably dating back to Utah Game 6, the Kirilenko flop and the Finley out of bounds play, prior.

This only happens when I think we are relevant.

I think I actually might get mad after a regular season game this year.

    Feels g o o d!

How you feel, cfnet?! Wouldn't it be cool to come home after a game to find a knee-jerk reaction thread started by Clutch! That's when you know we are contenders!

Gotta agree with you HP. I still count this towards growing pains. I told my wife the first game of the season that there were gonna be games we lose that we should have won, however, they're will be games that we win that we should have lost. I just want this team to be the best team in May and June.

I will has been tough being in the GARM the days after the LAC and LAL games. Part toxic wasteland, part toxic me.

Last season, it was easy to go to the Astros forum after a lose.

As far as Texans forum, I think I hit acceptance faster than a lot of fans this season. Is everyone over there still in the anger phase of Kubiak-Ross 5 Stages of Grief Model?

This feels like the Tmac-Yao era all over again.
That can either be a good thing or a bad thing.

It was good, but sad that the loss was completely preventable.

Don't inbounds the ball to Dwight with less than 2 minutes on the clock. If Beverly or Lynn had made their defensive assignment on Blake the last shot of the game, and it's a Rocket's victory after being down by 19 points.

The positives I see do make me happy. They came back from being down by a lot. Harden is a leader, and played a great game except from some early defensive lapses. The good thing is that down the stretch Harden's defense tightened up, and he played well including a huge block and saving the ball from going out of bounds.

The knee-jerk reactions were a little embarrassing last night. Dwight's been in the league 10 years now, we all know he struggles on offense and with free throws, yet some people here are acting like it's some new problem he has. He's still the best big man in the league, but I honestly expected 3 or 4 losses this year due to him not hitting his free throws, and this was game 1 out of those 3 or 4 that I expect.

The person that I'm really disappointed with right now is James Harden. In preseason he looked like he actually gave a little effort on D, but now I feel like he's just trolling us. Letting Redick and Steve Blake blow by you when we all know James has elusive speed and quickness. He doesn't have to be Paul George on D, but at least be decent.

I would love to see some data on how many points are allowed because of James Harden on D. If his man goes by him, someone else has to step up and pick him up, leaving that player's guy open.

EDIT- And to those blaming the loss on Dwight, everyone missed plays that could have changed the outcome of the game. It's not all on Dwight.

Don't play like crap in the 1st quarter and dig a big hole that you can't crawl out of....

Amazing how Howard danced and smiled during this game. You'd think he'd bring a game face to a rival game. Obviously LA was right. He isn't serious enough to win big. That was childish behavior.

You obviously don't understand the implication of being focused and how body language give away your mental state. Winners in basketball, or anything in life, know when to focus. He lacks the eye of the tiger.

I was disgusted with the team's play the entire night. Even during the comeback, I was still so angry that they could have one of their biggest rivals come to their home court and fall into such a hole. With such long-term and especially recent history and acrimony between the two franchises, this should not have happened.

And I don't want to bring up the ever-more-evident incompatibility of the twin towers. The team should have been able to get past that - at least this one time. They should have been so fired up to destroy this team. Dwight should have been so fired up to destroy this team.

What disturbs me is the lack of basketball I.Q. The bad inbounds play at the end, the inability to concentrate at the free throw line, the horrible penultimate possession (when it's obvious the lakers are gonna have time to run a play, why don't we actually run a play, like the pick n roll that helped get the rockets back into the game?), the bad turnovers down the stretch, the lack of understanding of the need to switch in such a crucial possession.

And this in a game where the rockets had almost half as many t.o.'s as the lakers. And still lost. Pa-effing-thetic.

I was definitely disappointed in the loss, but I was so furious at our team for all the above points that I realize a win would not have been deserved. Hopefully this will serve as a wake-up call to the rockets, that they can't continually play like crap at the beginning of games and assume they'll be able to pull them out. That's the main thing I'm taking away from this pukefest.

You obviously don't understand that body language is not a 100% correlation to mental state.

Back in the late 90s, tons of folks said Tim Duncan didn't care enough. He didn't scream or pound his chest. Not vocal at all. Was fairly quiet, "looked" timid. He'd never lead his team anywhere, the "body language" experts said. 15 years and four (should be five) rings later, that looks a little silly.

Some people win with Kobe's style. You can also do it the way LeBron does. Winners in life know that there isn't always a superficial tell to whatever "focus" or the "eye of the tiger" really is.

Well Harden is certainly taking a page of Kobe's book by handling the ball mostof the time and then jacking up a shot

Lebron used to pose for fake photographs in-game with his teammates after a big play. Karl Malone used to flash wrestling signs during the finals. Rodman dyed his hair for games. Kobe changed his jersey number for attention. Athletes love to play pee-pee games.

I wanted to snatch the TV off the wall. LOL Couldn't believe we were down 19 by the star less Lakers.

I wasn't that upset. Knowing that Mchale was still experimenting with the TT line up. Once thay took Asik out they started going on a run. Only 6 games in, we are still building chemistry. I think we'll be fine , but this is for sure.. Asik is gone by the trade deadline .

It looked to me like Nash was giving Lin a bear-hug on that play... of course the refs didn't call it as it seems like Lin rarely gets any calls, but that's another story altogether.

Still, it was a winnable game and I think it shows a lot that the rocks came back from being down 19 pts. to nearly win the game.

Any loss to the flakers sucks, though.

    george was getting pretty upset!
the play to end the game reminded me of the game that cost us a chance to defeat the jordans. except of karl malone hugging, it was nash.

props to pringles for running a play. we were horrible all throughout this year and last year at properly rotating and he exploited that. freaking basterd.
