Tought titty. He chose this team over every other NBA team in the league knowing what our roster looked like. Get over yourself Dwight.

Thank you. Got tired of making this point. The Houston organization is a little smarter than to let information like this out to someone who would go on a public forum to tell all. And the amount of people that eat it up is hilarious. And now people are gonna respond with "he predicted asik's contract isn't gonna be matched" and "Dwight is seriously considering Houston"
Yes we all knew that. And when he misfires with "josh smith might team up in Houston" and "we're looking at aldridge" the defense is "I said it was a possibility, didn't say it was gonna happen"

 

who say Lin can't lob pass? if only they let Lin run pick n roll with dwight.

Very good post Torocan. Good simple explanation of the 5 men on a string inbound play. Very basic inbound play taught at a young level, but so easy to screw up without great team chemistry, and practice with that team.

It seems that every team I played on, you could always tell the chemistry, and how well my teams fit together by inbound plays... as simple as they are. Good chemistry and you can throw the ball blindfolded and you know where certain guys will be. Bad chemistry and its a huge mess.

Its obvious to me that this team has alot of work to do especially with their defensive chemistry. They need more practice, and better communication. The team has 5 days in a row here in Houston with 2 home games. Not sure how much practice they are going to be able to get, but they should be able to spend some time working on some of these issues, and hopefully look better for this stretch of very winnable games against Toronto, Philly, NY, Denver, Boston. They should win all 5 of those games if they find their groove here in the next couple practices, and games.

 

This is the first time, I have ever heard of it. You may be right.
This is bad news,and it's McHale's job to bring things to order.
The players need to do soul searching, and stop blaming each other.

 

Morey doesn't need to trade for any of those guys. Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverley can be true pass first PGs. All they have to do, is bring the ball up to half-court, and then pass.

it dont even matter, they'll just stand outside like Lin does and not be used effectively as pure PG's. Rondo can't even get along with Ray Allen, he's going to explode next to Harden, especially since Rondo actually D's up.

Maybe that's what we and harden need somebody who's going to stand up and say I'm the pg I run the offense and that's it just get open and I'll give you the ball you really think harden is going to defer to somebody like Lin and Beverley please

 

Its nice to get insider info whenever you can get it, but I have to agree with Deckard here that what Cyberx basically did here is walk into a crowded theater and yell "Fire".

Is Dwight frustrated with the PG situation???.... probably.. aren't we all in some way??? Not necessarily with the actual players listed as the PG, but the fact that they really have no steady hand in the lineup that helps orchestrate their offense, and is like having a coach on the floor. Also having SOMEONE... ANYONE... that can throw a pass in the post would be nice.

So if Dwight told a friend, or his agent that he's frustrated with the PG situation, I take that with a grain of salt. I think EVERYONE is frustrated with that situation(PG or steady hand that can facilitate offensive sets) among others...and it doesn't mean that he publicly announced a trade demand or anything.

Getting insider info is nice, but a little explanation would have went a long ways here... All this did was made a significant portion of the fanatics here hate Dwight immediately for potentially no reason at all.

rofl. It's because DH is not open or Harden demands the ball. Lin fed DH so much in the previous games where DH was scoring a lot in Utah and I think Portland

People are stupid for blaming any particular person for that one play. Lin was held, which made Bev switch, and Bev was also picked by Gasol. The idea was right, the execution was just sloppy and delayed and out of practice. It's a tricky play and a well oiled defensive team will rotate right and prevent both the open shot and lob, we were so clunky and slow on the switches that Blake was wide open.

and I also completely agree that one play is the least of our worries, what happened before hand, the brick freethrows, the endless iso's, the 17 early deficit like every ****ing game is what we need to worry about.

 

I'm not thrilled with the center situation.

 

He is probably frustrated with the inconsistency of him getting into the offense.

For 6 games, his offense has been more volatile then the stock market.

Very good game vs Bobcats. Reasonably good game vs Mavericks. So so game vs Jazz. Poor game vs Clippers. Great game vs Trail Blazers. Poor game vs Lakers.

With that kind of inconsistency, I am not surprised he is lashing out. This is speculation on my part, but he could probably be feeling something like: "Look, if I am getting the proper looks and feed, I could pull the Portland game almost every game. I've not been getting looks and feeds properly set up. My PGs need to step up."

I'm still wondering why is there so little PnR between him and the guards. Even if he manages to post up, most teams are just collapsing onto him and inviting the Rockets to shoot the 3. And as we saw today in the Lakers game, live by the 3, die by the 3. We died by our 3s.

 

Dwight will be more pissed when Beverley steals a few of his rebounds.

 

I dont think they will trade him. in the openning of the year coaching staff already said they gonna take the ball out of Harden's hand and run more plays, and if they trade the only legitimate PG away they have no other options but to go to Harden. then they gonna fall into "Harden Trap" just like "Kobe Trap" that live and die on his ISOs, as the only playmaker remain in the team he is not gonna change his play style cos you have no other options can take the roll off him, and he gonna hog the ball more and more to pad his stats. then the whole team is hijacked by his max contract, for other teams already see what he is and wont trade with Rox, Morey wont be so stupid to not seeing it.
