What do you think has been happening for the last year? Haren is playing PG for 42 minutes. McHale is not backing away from this, he's reinforcing it by sending Lin to the bench. Its exactly McHales strategy. Unless we get a new coach, Lin will remain marginalised. Trade him already!

 

so by your definition, an NBA caliber PG sucks if can't throw a repeated lobs to a new center for the first 6 games of the season... ok got it...

OK so guesstimated Haren played 42 minutes instead of correctly stating that he plays 38 minutes and you say you're done talking to me because I don't know what I'm talking about? The essence of my point remains. McHale is going with Haren as the PG / playmaker and marginalising Lin therefore Lin should be traded. Talk not ignore, I thought this was a fan forum?

 

Lin is excellent at throwing lobs, all the commentators remark how precise he is. This discussion is the first I hear of Lin not being a precise passer. Next week another fatal flaw of Lin's will be discoverd. The Portland commentators stated how well Lin was guarding Lillard, and one said that he felt Lin was playing better than Beverly. So Beverly starts against the Lakers. At this point the criticism of Lin is reaching absurd proportions.

 

I saw this too! The conversation looked very amiable. During the game Lin came over to Dwight and gave him a buddy touch on his head. Does not look like they are at odds with eachother. BTW , have you seen Sampson sitting on the bench. Every time the camera has panned over to him he has a frown on his face and his arms are folded across his chest. I don't see him as animated as he was last year.

 

It's pretty unbelievable that Lin is getting any criticism at all. He's playing arguably at his highest level and people still complain? Where's all the outrage from Harden's complete and utter lack of D and his turnovers? Seriously, any of us could get past him. Dwight's lack of post-game, turnovers, FT shooting? Parsons sucking it up.

I'm not surprised that the team has a low number of assists. You don't see anyone smiling anymore. They seem to be playing "angrily" and not really sharing the ball. Honestly, Lin should be traded. The guy looks absolutely miserable out there and if he's the one being picked for the sacrificial lamb, best to get out.

 

If you are honest with yourself, you know that the 3pt shot by Blake didn't cost us the game, but someone has to get the blame.(someone other than Howard)...

Parsons deserves blame (Inbounding to Dwight when Hack-a-Dwight was illegal)
Harden deserves blame (ISOOOOO MAD AT UUUU)
Dwight deserves blame (5-15 what was it? really?)
Beverley deserves blame (Did you even try to fight through the Gasol screen?)
Lin deserves blame (You're gonna let Nash wrap you up/did you call the switch fast enough?)

The whole team fked this one up. In the grand scheme of things its one game. We move on.

Kerr said he was dismayed when harden dribbled the ball for about 18 seconds during one possesson at the end of the game. He emphatically said it shouldent be done at this crucial stage of the game and it was a waste of a possession. Harden missed his shot.

 

McHale should have counter-act that hack-a-Howard strategy by putting Howard on the bench. Especially when we went up 97-91.

 

I've been a huge critic of Lin, but he's getting way too much crap for this. He's improved greatly since last season and he wasn't even the reason we lost. smh
