I don't think this was a trap game nor was the Clippers game. These two games just highlights the flaw with this team and more so with our two superstars in Harden and Howard.

    1. Harden for playing non-responsive D. If you do so have to deal with solid shooting guards like Reddick and Blake...you will be for a long night (even if you score 30+ points as you will be dishing out tons of points).

    2. Howard and his FTs. In close games, you are in for a long fight.

    So Mchale says:

“One thing we said – we were going to switch everything out,” McHale said. “We switched late. We had a mistake and we didn’t get out and Blake hit a big 3. We switched late. We were switching one through five at that point.”

They knew that they were going to have to switch. Any guy playing pickup ball at the park knows that when your teammate gets screened, the next guy rotates over and they switch. It happens all the time. Except this time, Bev didn't seem to realize that Lin had been picked off (and held) and then Gasol came over and screened Bev and Dwight's in la-la land for a sec before realizing or crap- Blake is wide open.

Lin only took one shot in the 4th quarter. Harden needs to cal down.

pretty much exactly what happened. Double screen, Lin got picked, the switcher (Bev) got picked by Gasol, it is then up to Howard to realize what's going on and get out. Of course Pringles knows he does not have the bball IQ to see it unfold, he was starting at Pau Gasol still and got frozen and late to Blake and now he's upset cause he's the one in the photos getting shot on.
You can just tell the difference in offensive coaching....Pringles ran a great catch and shoot, not sure what McHale drew up, it just looked like "ok Harden you come to the ball, CHandler you come to the ball, Bev throw it to one of them! BREAK!"

I don't know if this has been brought up already but WTH was Beverly doing bringing the ball in.

Shouldn't we have had someone a bit taller to pass the ball inbounds when Kaman is sitting there in front of him?

Just another thing that stood out to me.

Steph Curry is averaging 6.3 turnover's a game. Lin has the same # of turnovers as other teammates, Harden had more.

You really need to drop the TO thing and actually review the numbers

Lin also took that shot when there was only 3 seconds left in the clock.
Lin also had the highest FGM% (5/8) for that game, but did not get to touch the ball in the fourth quarter.

    SMH!

I bought up the moment I saw it. It's not the first time I've seen it, apparently our best inbound passer is the shortest guy on the team I guess...

Must be that lock down D from the superior starting line-up. And no its not the TT fault when its 70% on 3's it the perimeter on defenders or whoever played the majority of the minutes at those spots.

Watching the game tonight, the other thing I noticed is Harden is handling the ball more and Lin is just hanging on the wing. It would explain the lower assist totals that Lin is having. Last year, he had the ball more and would drive and pass to other guys. This year, the offense is Harden ISO or dump in Dwight. The problem is Dwight isn't much of a threat and so there are no double teams. The Rox are a good team and will win their share of games.

As a Warrior fan, I want to see how the two teams will match up though. The Warriors are playing pretty well.

You guys I'm so upset and so frustrated. I'm mad we lost, I'm mad we lost to the Lakers, and had a sucky day today (and was hoping the Rox would boost my spirits).

To find out Dwight and some others (including Harden, Parsons) might be mad at Lin I can't take it. :(

I just wanted this team to work, and I really don't want Lin to go.

I've spent so much time liking the Rockets (Admittedly because Lin came here) and really want this team to work.

    :( :(

With the way our team plays defense, expect Curry and Klay to both have career highs while breaking our 3 point record.

This game featured a comedy of coaching and player mistakes. I wouldn't stress over each mistake considering how many were made.

No one wants to admit it, but we're still a very young, raw, and inexperienced team. We just acquired a superstar which essentially destroys whatever chemistry the team gained last year. It's clear the Howard/Asik pair is really affecting our offense (and ironically, defense) which is why we keep falling behind.

Morey will keep fishing and eventually find a piece that completes the team. It's too early to be worried.

We R no fun to watch.
The way we played tonight - stuck solid on offense, wide open wings on defense... Not a pretty sight.

    1. 1on1 StreetBall is not such a fun game
when there are 10 people on court.

    2. The short rotation yields 3 wrongs -
    a) Frustrated players with no PT.
    b) Fatigued rotation players dropping in performance in O and D.
    c) Tired and pressured star playersvtrying to save the day by moving back to their bad habits/comfort zone.
    And 3 wrong won't make a right...

    3. Stop the internal clashes here in fans' forum and in the court/locker room (those things can seep-in both ways).
The H&H vs Lin trashing & blaming is plain ugly. It's a real stick in our wheels.
I blame the LOHs mostly - what's so fun about setting
those baits to Lin's fans? Don't you mind that it actually tears the team apart?
Stupid ego games and animosity all over the place -
No wonder it's no fun to either watch the team or post about it.
    Get over it!

    4. The disrespect for the coach is another bad thing that's been seeping through between the court and the fan forums.
I sure have a lot of criticism about McHale myself (see #2), but have some respect, ppl.
I bet our players read these forums too.
    Head coach is head coach.
