Should have won this game by a wide margin. No excuses. Classic "trap game," where we play down to our opponent.

Rockets haven't learned a thing from last year apparently.

Awesome effort to stir the pot. Would've been better if you involved Lin.

The game summary is up on NBA.com if you want to look at what actually happened on the last play. Lin was covering Blake, Beverly on Nash, Howard on Gasol. Blake ran off two screens, Gasol and Nash. Nash screened Lin, so on the rotation it should be Beverly on Blake. But Beverly gets screened off by Gasol, so it should be Gasol's man, Dwight Howard, contesting Blake's shot.

This is assuming the order was to switch everything, which seems like a safe assumption.

of course it's a safe assumption considering McHale himself said they were switching.

So Jeremy Lin said in the interview that the game is not about the last play. And something he did not want to say publicly. He is with the second unit, and he was trying to have fun playing basketball and all.

I'm thinking last year's starting five (Asik, Patterson, Parsons, Harden, Lin) would probably kick this year's starting five (Asik, Howard, Parsons, Harden, Beverley)...

Big question is .... Why did we give up 64 points and 70% 3-point shooting in the 1st HALF !!??

If we have Brooks from 4 years ago, he had already butted head with Harden and Howard already complained of lacking touches.

AB average attempts per game is at 16+ though his 3pt percentage is also around 40%.

Heart???? He was single handedly the reason we got some damn dug in to the trenches to begin with. He was letting any PG score at will, get in the lane, and chucking away missing everything. The Lakers D rolled off of him all game long daring him to not drive and get blocked (a few times) or miss uncontested three's.

Bev is overrated by the hater posse who only want Lin to fail because they don't like his fans. That is the epitome of non Rocket fandom. Lin played a fantastic game. He took one shot in the 4th and promptly got shat on by Harden for it. A shot he had to take with time winding down. Seriously think this is the team ****ting on him because coach and Sampson has done it for a year now. I said it before and I will say it again. McHale gave the input that led to Lin being cut a year ago. Then Lin gets big contract with same team. Its a pride thing for McHale because he knows he looks the fool.

The Rockets defense is so bad that we needed Bev to slow the Lakers down.

So why the 2 Steve's piled 17 points in the first half alone?

Well this is the first 'Trap' game they have loss. There other loss is to the Clippers. It probably doesn't help that this was a huge game for the Lakers, apparently they were drinking after the win. So they fell into the trap game, didn't think the Lakers would bring it like they did and fell asleep for a half.

As for all this drama, I don't believe it. With all the national reporters floating around this game, I wouldn't be surprised if someone was trying to stir the pot a bit here. Looking at the post-game interviews none of the players looked upset or anything and for what would have been a big story (about Dwight and the entire team getting on Lin) none of the reporters asked that question to anyone...so it feels odd.
