and Harden had an ill advised shot and a turnover on 2 ISO plays late in the game with the lead in jeopardy.

Folks are overthinking this. The reasons we lost this game are pretty simple.

#1 - We spotted the Lakers 19 points (17 points in the 1Q) by playing the TT.
#2 - Poor overall shooting by Bev (1/10), Casspi (1/6) and Garcia (1/5)
#3 - Bad 3 point shooting by almost every Rocket... Parsons (1/3), Beverley (1/5), Harden (3/9), Casspi (1/3), Garcia (0/5). Lin was the only one who shot over 33% (1/2). As a team we shot for 25.7%.
#4 - Very good 3 point shooting by the Lakers... 45.7%
#5 - Some poor decisions at critical times (inbound to Howard by Parsons, poor switching on the last play, clock burning ISO's by Harden)
#6 - Relatively weak rebounding. We were out rebounded 47 to 44.
#7 - Hack a Dwight and general Dwight FT's (5/16). If you take out Dwight's FTA's, we actually shot 77.7% FT's. With Dwight it went down to 63.5%.

Our TO's actually weren't horrible. 17 TO's for the game, 24 TO's for the Lakers.

Just digging ourselves into a 19 point hole due to TT experimentation is a LOT to expect any team to overcome, let alone a team as young as ours.

Should we have won this game? Yes, however it's a lot harder when you spot the other team so many points, especially when they're shooting well from the 3 point line and we're bricking it badly.

This isn't a bad team, but some of the line ups we're putting on the floor are bad. Hopefully they figure it out soon so we can keep our best lineups on the floor. As it stands now, it's going to be awful hard to continue racking up wins until McHale and co. get the rotation stabilized.

Sure it does...1-10, as you stated all being equal...with this type of close game just another single basket would have meant no dealing with the stupid last basket by the Lakers. Twist it how you see fit, but Lin was the superior player tonight.

Such a full of ***** argument here.

Of course not, but 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block at the expense of 1/10 FG and 1/5 3PM? You got to be kidding.

If Lin and Bev have similar numbers outside of scoring, wouldn't that make Lin as effective as Bev; and if Lin scores more than 3 times of Bev did, wouldn't that make him MORE effective?

Btw, when comparing assists, Bev has 1 more, and 2 less TOs than Lin. I'm sure that is game changing.

Lin was getting yelled and screamed at by players and then by Assistants all the way to the locker room.
    Very interesting gossiping.

I say it in the sense of our guards defense on the 3's in the first half.

If I say LBJ is >>>>>>> Harden, would your statement still apply?
