I've seen enough, Paul George clearly the better player and will be better in the next few years. Meanwhile we have to go through another few years with a star who doesn't want to play defense, likes to hoist of threes and play iso ball. Remember T-mac?
Why is George some how maxed out his ceiling but Harden hasn't even come close to reaching it? Last time I checked, George is almost 1 year younger than Harden
George has size and length that harden will never be able to get. probably defense too that comes with it too early to decide since i consider this season to be PG's real test so i'm incline to say harden, but if PG finishes around 20-24/4/7 45%, he'll be heading into KD/LBJ territory soon. IF PG can draw ("get") 6-10 ft's a game, he's gonna be amazing to watch
and the Rockets have been playing against strong opponents? We've played the Bobcats, Lakers, Dallas, Utah, Portland and Clippers so far.
Which player would you pick? A 26pts on 17 shots, 6 assists, 5 rebounds with limited defense and leads the team to 45 wins without any other consistent offensive threat or any game plan. B 17.5 pts on 14.5 shots, 4 assists, 7.5 rebounds with solid defense and leads the team to 49 wins with a shot blocker in the middle, an all star PF and a coach with a defensive scheme.
you haven't been on this forum long enough to know that people aren't easily fooled here. 1) limited defense? aren't you generous 2) "without any other consistent offensive threat or any game plan" - did you take the whole night to come up with this qualifier? what does it even mean? 3) "all-star" and "shot-blocker" ? you must feel real confident right about now. why did you use all-star? do you also use that to describe mo williams when he made the team? here's what using your thought process would do for george: "...playing within the offense of the game, with consideration of his teammates and their efforts, while not being the ball-hogging center piece of the team, and with one of his all-star teammates injured"
the pacers had a winning record (18-12) vs the western conference, something the rockets didn't accomplish last season
honestly george is a beast better than harden offensively and way better defensively. he almost even made it to the finals last year
