I tried that one and just couldn't get into it... I saw the first three episodes.

The only character I liked was her little friend Mako or something like that and Mako's little brother? Other than that the fight scenes were eh and the plot seemed like it was going to drag. Did I stop too soon?

I think it picks up starting at episode 3 which is my favorite so far, 4 is the funniest, 5 introduces a new badass character who's going to be a memorable character for his quotes. This guy is going to be my favorite character if he gets enough screen time.

Kill La Kill is the love child of Gurren Lagann and FLCL. If that right there doesn't sound completely awesome to you, you're either nuts or just don't watch anime. I absolutely love it.

Haha, that's an excellent comparison. I completely agree with it.

Anyone else watching Golden Time? One of my top shows this season look forward to it every Thursday, I love it.

I actually tried to skip to the more serious portion of the story. But then the animation and the serious tone don't really mesh. I just can't take it seriously.

Come to think of it, the animation style probably contribute quite a bit to my dislike of it. Not really a fan of that.

Yes I'm watching it... though... I don't like the main girl, she annoys me most of the time.

I bet not as annoying as tonight's game amirite? Amirite? :(:(:(

I like her though, one of the only Tsundere character I'll ever like.

Have you watched Toradora? The source material for both animes share the same author, Takemiya Yuyuko. But they do share a lot of similarities. I didn't like either story so I never watched either anime. But I doubt the adaptations changed much.

Just finished katanagatari. Pretty good samurai-esque action comedy.

Havent gotten around to seeing it yet even though I've had queued for a while now. I've read y'all talking about it a while back and they were pretty good comments except for the ending. I'll most likely end up watching it the end of this season.

I was sort of going to say the same thing in response - Toradora does have the only tsundere character I've ever liked... just can't get attached to Kaga yet. Taiga in Toradora has a more believable character than Kaga.

I definitely recommend it. Probably the best slice of life series I've watched so far. The ending is okay... I think they rushed it, but at least it had an ending.

Plus I adore Ryuji... if he was a real person I would totally snatch him up and make him my own! LOL

Edit: and yes, not as annoying as last night's game.. sheesh!!

Edit 2: so I finally watched this week's Golden Time.. and I actually may change my mind about Kaga, though I think she is still a bit annoying, I'm happy with this week's ending ;)

Loved that she finally confesses to banri and it took for him to ignore her to make her do it. Kaga x banri x Linda is going to be awesome. Can't wait for the next one.

How are you squeezing in anime between basketball and RL priorities? It's getting tough and I'm only able to see the shows I love the most.

not easily... I almost forgot about the game tonight.. thankfully Mig posted on facebook that he was at the game and reminded me.

Little Busters made me cry like a baby today. When Kengo lost it so did I.. I cried from that point to the end.

    As far as Golden Time,
I don't think Linda felt that way for Banri... I know she said she felt like his accident was her fault because she was "late" but I think she sort of felt brotherly love toward him. Also I have a feeling that there will be more interesting developments with Mitsuo... what will his reaction be when suddenly he doesn't have Kaga's attention. It will start out that he's relieved, but when he starts seeing the two of them together it's going to cause issues :) or at least it would be good drama if it does.

I'm probably not going to be able to keep up for long. But right now I've been keeping up with the now airing shows... so it's manageable, an hour or two a night... but I haven't been watching any others since basketball started.

For those who haven't tried it, I do want to suggest Log Horizon. I didn't before because the story is very drawn out with relatively slow pacing with the story coming at you piece-meal. But here at 6 episodes I think it's enough to get a feel for the show.

I really like that one! I have never played an online game like that but I love the way it's portrayed in it. I have watched the guild though... So I sort of see the real characters behind the "game" personas like them lol

Supposedly Elder Tales is based more on the older MMORPGs pre-WoW. Never played any MMORPG myself so I'm not so sure. I just really enjoy the fact that this is a new world and "adventurers" are going through an adjustment to their new reality. Along with likeable characters and a protagonist who amazingly enough doesn't solve problems with his fist or sword.

    Hi guys,

I went back a few pages to make sure I'm not just repeating what you guys are already talking about, but here are the shows I've been watching this year:

Attack on Titan(I know some of you already talked about it)

Hunter x Hunter - it's a bit like Naruto crossed with ye olde Dragonball, a young good hearted boy who goes on adventures. It looks like a kid's show but can be incredibly dark and tons of people get killed on screen.

Sword Art Online - it's another one of those MMO story animes. It's pretty good.

RWBY - made by our guys Rooster Teeth in Austin. It's cute and has insane fight scenes and weapons.

Hajime no Ippo - one of the better sports animes out there. You can tell they have a real love for the history of boxing.

This is what I've watched in recent months, but I have alot more to talk about if people are interested. Of course, I do like the staples, Bleach, Naruto, and Fullmetal Alchemist as well.
