Whether Jeremy or Patrick starts shouldn't matter. Personally I prefer Jeremy because I believe he is better at running an offense but many people prefer Patrick's energy over that. In any case, who cares who starts at PG? Why can't this guy Kevin McHale see that this stupid combination of Dwight and Asik is not working?
Beverly 1-10 shooting, 1-5 from the arc. His injury might still be affecting him. And isn't he supposed to be a defensive presence who drains the open 3? Why is he taking ten shots?
Today makes me think Bev is not a starting PG...there were too many cringe-worthy moves that make me not want to trust him...
Beverley is an inconsistent shooter. That's what he was lasts season and that's what he is this season. I don't know why some people believe that he's a better spot up shooter than Lin. That's just not true. The only thing on offense that Beverley "fits better" with Harden is that Harden gets to handle the ball more.
Bev fits what KM wants out of his pg, on this team. A hustle defender, spot up shooter, and good rebounding guard. Lin is clearly a better offensive player than Bev, but only thrives when he has the ball and can do what he wants...drive and get contact, penetrate and dish to shooters, and control the tempo.
Anyone excusing Bev because of his injury is r****ded. He played okay against the Blazers and y'all said nothing. He's not a starter and everyone knows it.
we have all been here arguing like idiots, when this line says it all clearly. =) it's a shame that we can't play democratic ball because it's what we're good at.
And Bev dribbles the ball up the court, hands it off to Harden and everyone just stands around and watches Harden iso. Then we get in a big hole right off the bat. We should start Lin and get all of our players involved and Lin is great at doing that.
Yet when Lin was coming off an injury at the beginning of last season and injured in the playoffs last season, people said he was weak and that people were making excuses for him sucking. Now so many folks want to give Bev the "injured" pass. Guess what- he wasn't injured when Kemba ran circles around him on opening night...
