I hope to hell this is the game becomes their rally cry for intensity for the rest of the year because that effort...

....was an embarrassment to the team, fans, franchise and city.

Pretenders dance in the pre-game huddle and think they've won something before they have.

Winners work every moment of every game to win and it absolutely GUTS THEM when they lose.

That boneheaded play by Bev actually bugged me more than the blown switch on Blake. Defensive screwups will happen. But how freaking hard is it to use your last 20 when you're having trouble inbounding the ball?!

I swear, he cannot start Asik and Howard together. We are stagnant on offense.

at least with previous rockets teams, we hustled all 4 quarters. this team is spoiled, no passion until they have to do something or get a win. they need to play hard every quarter and every game. this is what they are paid to do. we should have ran this team into the dirt, but we played with no fire. the lakers were short handed and played hard every quarter. we just act like we can magically shift a gear and score 20 points. it doesnt work that way, we are not that good yet.

if the refs hadnt bailed us out so many times we would have lost by double digits.

lakers had 16 free throw attempts rockets had 52 free throw attempts

    wow.

    we deserved this loss.

But we still gotta play through it. The real problem is our team defense . Watch Indians, Heat or the Spurs. You see guys in synch and switch and rotate to the weakside or plays like that someone would have rotated to switch on blake.

Agreed. But I've noticed Bev - Howard combo is downright horrible. Any of the stat wizards here got something on that?

Not even close. Lin was averaging far more assists than James during Linsanity. He was turning scrubs into scorers. Jared Jeffries, Billy Walker.
He got his points within the flow of the game. Harden forces.

How often did you see Lin waving off open teammates to take contested step-back 3's or dribble out the clock then pass to a teammate with 3 seconds left.

Indeed. Lin made all his teammates better. Without Lin, Fields and Novak don't get their huge contracts.

You sound as though McHale can dictate plays to Harden. It has been shown that Harden does his own thing and McHale cannot hold him accountable. Accept the fact that in this league, it's usually the stars calling the shots.

    Response

Yes, blame the coach and two superstars. Superstars, by definition, have to carry the team. No one ever said Lin was a superstar; he's just a bench player.

You guys aren't seeing the big picture. This is the Lakers we're talking about... we should've outscored them by like 20 pts! I'm glad we lost this. It's a wake up call about what we need to fix in this team to go deep in the playoffs. Lakers SMH.
