Which one do you guys this team needs the most? An elite wing defender or well rounded starting PF (Ala LMA).

I personally think we need an elite wing defender.

Elite wing defender easily, but first a coach that demands more from his players.

I like McHale's personality but yeah I can't forget how his teams melted down in the last 10 games.

Wing defender and Stretch 4, or some good midrange 4 with post game

Wing defender without a doubt. A guy like Casspi could be servicable at PF with a wing defender.

As of now, teams will shoot 60% from 3 all season against us.

I suggested that to my friend, but I said Evan and Hawes for Asik and fillers.

The team did play defense well in the 2nd half. Dug too big a hole, then made a few mistakes like inbounding to Howard and letting Blake get loose for the last shot.

Wing defender. It's really not even close. The games we've lost were because of perimeter defense and the games that were close were close because of our perimeter defense.

dwight howard to develop a post game and get to at least 60% shooting.

you bring in plays to hide flaws in the regular season but they will come out in the playoffs

Do you think if we paid him some more, he would forgive our mistreatment of him?

Its pretty obvious to me that an elite wing defender would do more wonders than a ilyasova/Anderson type 4. This type of pf would help or offense and make it darn close to a perfectly balanced unit.

But similar to tonights game, and others this season, when the opposing team gets got we have no way of stopping them. We can't start playing tighter defense because we lack the personnel. Well we can try, and possibly play better defense, but it isn't enough of a difference that would be needed. Typically our defense is trying to out score the opposite team. So when they get hot, we have to stay in stride or start giving up leads.

Mostly this is more important while being a head and trying to preserve a lead. being able to sup or slow down the Mavs run tonight and we win easy.

We can catch up at any time because of our elite offense. But we can't stop or slow down an elite offense once it gets going.

What could be some potential wing defenders that we can acquire. Not only household names, i do like Deng, but others also i might not know of off the to of my head. Guys like aminu, ariza, allen are about all i know. I'm intrigued in a possible Courtney Lee type player, ie even a Tony Allen type player off the bench.

Would we want to bring Deng off the bench (Not saying Chicago does any sort of trade like that, just going by what you said about a player) or would he be in the starting line-up? If you want a guy being paid that much and come off the bench and get considerable minutes, I would love an Aaron Afflalo type of player. Again, I'm not saying either team would do that sort of trade (Chicago or Orlando) but wow, would that be pretty cool.

Jones is legit. A wing defender is a must.

Hell...if we have a lead, I'm with Bima...Ronnie Brewer should get minutes to help close out the game.
