Rockets have the best SG in the league, and the 2 of the best defensive centers in the league, and yet, the Rockets offense is horrible at times, with little to no rhythm, players just standing around as Harden iso's , its bad.

And the defense I thought would greatly improve by adding Howard, but that has not been the case. Harden is also a huge liability on the defensive end and gets blown past by scrubs like jordan farmar.

    Thoughts?

Howard is a bad signing. He will be the worse contract than Amare.

Howard is a bit overrated now.

But mainly, the coaching is horrific. I'm not sure if Morey is forcing Mchale to employ TT, but TT is whats dragging our offense AND defense down.

Heck I'm starting to think Wade might still be the best. He's an elite defender and is very efficient albeit he has Lebron.

Harden isn't the best SG in the league.

What offense? McHale doesn't run any plays and the defense sucks. Fire him and Sampson.

The Coaching is terrible really...Mchale has had the entire preseason and start of the season to find an offensive flow..with executed plays...instead of this read and react garbage... The Rockets are atrocious when coming up with out of bounds plays. Good coaching gets info to their players on what they should do...the situation and the shot the opposing players are gonna take, and what should be done when you are down.

As remarkable as Blake's shot was...(it was wide open)....The Rocket still had one last chance. with a Time out. Beverly inbounding the ball was a total mistake...put in your best shooters...Garcia, Caspi??? who cares if they missed...they should be in...

They shouldve had a lob option towards the rim, and a simple curl route from the other side of the court towards to the ball having Harden move towards the basket on the wing.

Actually I thought our 4th quarter defense was the best I've seen from this team ever.

was really impressed. it was other things that cost us the game.

This ...it was a total lack of execution on the offensive end that cost us the game... totally embarrassing loss to a really bad Laker team without their best player

That's a stretch considering Howard is better and is signed for 1 less year.

Not only is Harden's overdose of ISO bad for the offense, but if it continues, Dwight will check out because he's getting too few touches.

This team scores a lot because of their pace. I don't think they've broke 20 assists once. No half court sets, no set plays at all it seems. We have no one to work the post and cannot commit enough to the pick and roll. IMO the run and gun worked last year to compensate for a lack of talent this year it's just leading to turnovers and godawful defense.

Either slow the f down and concentrate on defense and protecting the ball or we seriously screwed up not trading Asik for Josh smith who probably would have thrived in whatever the f you call this offense.

Right now this is a dumpster fire of no chemistry.

Excellent point. This is the reason 2 way players are such an advantage. If you think about, virtually the entire team is either 1 way or average overall at both ends. Our most complete player might be Garcia, not a recipe for a championship. Until more of our players get more complete, we could be fooling ourselves. Dwight improving his FTs to 65% would be good enough for me as far as he's concerned.
