Its fair game to blame a loss on Lin if he did cost us the game but tonight he didn't. How about calling out Dwight for all his missed FT's? He claims hes been working on them all offseason but can't even manage 50%. And as great of an offensive player Harden is, you guys have to admit he is a lazy defender and at times incredibly selfish. Just because you are the star and leader of the team doesn't mean its ok to take ill advised shot and ignore your open teamates. Incredible how Harden gets a pass just cause he put up over 30 points.

Just wanted this win because.. y'know... ****ing LA...

LA on a mission to beat all the teams that they want to beat. Clips. Rockets. they would probably be fine loosing the rest of their games.

You ALWAYS switch on the inbound plays because you never have time to show and recover no matter if you go under or over.

Maybe bring in Asik or put Parsons/Garcia on the inbound to distract him more AND block his vision. Ya know like the Laker did with Kaman.

You NEVER inbound the ball to Howard with less than 2 minutes in a game.

I get that you fear a PnR with Howard because of the foul. You can still run a PnR with Parsons like they did last year. Better than shooting an off balance 2 point fade away at the buzzer. You have them in foul trouble, so go to the basket.

Asik can play defense too. When the Lakers have gone all in on the Hack-a-Dwight, maybe just give him a breather with Asik for 30 seconds, perhaps even once like with the inbound at 2:06. Rockets had time outs to stop the game bring Howard back in later if they wanted.

Not sure if this all bad coaching, not understanding situations by the players, or lack of playing together. But knowing how to execute properly in these situations separates contenders and run-of-the-mill playoff teams.

this one is not LIN's fault

for the last shoot, Lin is clearly being held by nash. Beverly should switch to blake asap.
isn't it just common basketball sense?

this is the TEAM poor performance as a whole lead to this heartbreaking ending.
    Howard can score some FTs
    Garcia/Cisco/beverly/Parsons can hit some shots
Lin can cut his TO down
    Asik can grab more rebounds
Harden can hit the clutch shoots.
one just have to do one of the things below to win the game and avoid the last situation.

This one is on the Team and Mchale.

    Blake's game-winner wasn't Lin's fault. He was held like a mofo.

That was everybody's fault. There was an obvious screen coming and Lin and Beverley started off too damn close to their man.

Should have preemptively inched towards the free throw line. If they gave up a two, oh well.

******* it. If you are in a position where only the three can kill you then GUARD THE THREE. Nobody is good enough to run through screens and stay with their man in this league.

McHale has no idea to win a close game.

This team lost all games in OT last season.

Miscommunication by Lin and Bev. They're both at fault.

Also, what the hell is Parsons doing? At least try to make the inbound difficult.

Maybe they should put Howard on the bench for a couple of minutes until the 2 minute mark.

What a terrible loss. The rockets just looked sloppy with no killer instinct. The only thing good about this loss is hopefully it stings them so it sticks with them for the rest of the season.

The Rockets lost the way they started the game....not defending the three.

If we made our 3s and free-throws, none of these dumb plays would even be a issue. Harden's isos are a double-edged sword, its great when it works but damn it sucks when it fails. Lin was aggressive when he had the ball and making his shots 2nite, but he barely touched the ball in the 4th? Might I dare say Asik probably would've been better subbing Dwight in that quarter. I mean hack-a-Asik turned out better in the playoffs than hack-a-Dwight in this game.
