Of course the superstars get 'selfish' because they see they are being outclassed by a mediocre or bad team.
The system or the lack thereof is not working.

Does he actually have a strategy?

Why double Gasol? Let him beat you (especially when we have good bigs to guard him...) just let him beat you.

They will maintain their 3 point shooting if they are open.

Rondo is the last thing we need.

Disagree. McHale is not running the same system as MDA. Beverly and TT starting is proof of that. PG needs to run the sets in MDAs system. If MDA were coaching Rox he would start Lin (not that i necessarily agree with that).

I dont like MDA much but he's a better ingame adjustments coach than McHale.

I'm sure McHale would let the PG run the team if the PG was Parker, Westbrook, Rose, Nash, Irving, Lillard, Williams, Rondo, etc. Bev is still unproven and Lin is too TO-prone.

It should take no time at all to give defensive effort. That's the problem. Doesn't matter if it's game 1 or game 6 or game 100...if you can't give defensive effort then you won't win anything in this league.

We have to get Casspi/cisco involved in 3's. Bev is playin horrible. Ithink we will smoke them in the 3rd tho heavy Howard

Because these fallacies were and are still perpetuated by Mchale. The kid had a bad first half last season due to recovery from a knee injury and he's been judged by it ever since. Mchale is a fool and not much of a coach. Zero ability to adjust and use his players strategically to be a tem - a group greater than the sum of the individual parts. He just expects the superstars to go out and will a win.

What I don't understand is how a genius like Morey doesn't know this. Mchales stats as a coach and in management at Minnesota leave little to be desired.

The backcourt of Bev and Harden is the worst to guard 3 pt shooter.

Lin/Parsons do much better than them

The current D12 will not be averaging 28 and 15, unless he starts hitting his 'throws. Even then, not many touches for him as is. And he doesn't seem as strong as he used to be.

Did you not read what that Rockets fan wrote at the Clippers game? McHale can call all the plays he wants, but Harden refuses to run them. Then McHale blames Lin because he's the whipping boy.

Does Houston even have a half court set?

Seems like McHale continues with the run and gun but the fit with Howard and Asik just isn't working for it.

I don't care which PG is out there but one of them needs to be a floor General. Nobody is running any plays. No one is making a concerted effort to give Dwight the ball. Dwight may not Demand the ball but the Rocket players have to feed him until he chokes... We saw what he could do in Portland. Have they forgotten already?

Personally, I think this is an insignificant game in the long run... but sweet Jesus, if Rockets lose, we will NEVER hear the end of it. I mean NEVER. Laker fans are relentless trolls. That enough should be enough motivation to win this game.
