Why doesn't Morey bring Alexis Ajinca to Houston?
Ajinca has played very good in Europe

Dallas would snap do that trade. Not sure if Morey would be happy with the incoming value though. Essentially, you'd be selling Asik & D-Mo short just for the sake of doing the trade. You get a worse center for Asik, and Marion is really redundant alongside Casspi & Garcia, I'd argue he's even worse than them. So... It's a terrible trade (unless you're a Mavs fan).

    WHY?

Another trade that just doesn't make any sense. Nash has declined rapidly on the offensive end, and doesn't play any defense. And while Lin isn't elite, he's pretty average on both ends of the floor, which is ok. He still has upside. Blake is a career back-up.

Do you really want to give up a starting calibre PG for one back-up and one 40 year old 3rd stringer at best?

    Yuck.

Dalembert can be D12's bckup, Marion is also excellent PF/sf we need, his defense was the key to Dallas champion, u can't understand his value

So if the Rockets get Dalembert and Marion that makes us a championship team..? I'd rather see Casspi play the 4 over Marion. And Marion shooting form hurts my eyes...

While I do think this would be a dumb trade, if we did trade Lin anytime soon it would have to be to get less value, because NOBODY wants to pay him $20 million over the next two years. So if we did trade him we would probably looking to take back an expiring that isn't really that good at playing so we can have cap space...

Easy man. Worst case, this is a random idea. There are actually some sense to it: Jazz needs a point guard. Houston has plenty of PGs. Also Hayward can not reach an extension with Jazz. Not to mention Houston gets a sharp shooter.

The are problems with this logic though. You leave us with only Bev and Brooks, lose a starting calibre PG in Lin and don't address the PF issue. Now you're under-utilizing Hayward by playing him extremely limited minutes behind Harden & Parsons at SG/SF positions.

Then you're left with a weakened PG spot, not addressed issue of PF spot, only marginally improving the depth of our wing rotation, and leave Garcia and Casspi redundant.

Now, look at it from Utah's point of view. They have already declined giving Hayward what he wanted (10-12M/yr) extension. What makes you think they will be willing to pay 20M in the next two years for a player that's substantially worse than Hayward?

I'm sorry, it just looks like a terrible trade for both sides.

    Asik + Beverley + Motiejunas + 2014 top-10 protected 1st round pick
    for
    Rondo + Faverani

i think Rondo's gonna request a trade sooner than later. Celtics might want to trade Rondo for whatever they can get before the deadline.

our line-up after the trade (and bring back Camby later on with the extra spot created)
    Howard, Faverani, Camby
    Casspi, Smith, T-Jones
    Parsons, Gracia, Covington
    Harden, Lin, Brewer
    Rondo, Brooks, Canaan

if we play Lin off bench we need a PG who can better run the offense. Bev just not good at organize an offense full time. and Rondo is even better on D than Bev's so that'll even out losing Asik from the starting line-up.

We have two flawed stars in Harden (no defense) and Howard (no post play, bad FT shooting).

Realistically, it creates too many problems for coaching and play-calling, none of the offense or defense is fluid on the court. Rox won't ever win a championship with Harden and Howard as the centerpiece, too flawed.

If we can get Anthony Davis from Pelican, we will have:

Osik, Davis, Parsons, Garcia, Lin/Beverley as our starters. There is really no big dropoff at the center position while the PF position is hugely improved. Our front court will be much better than it is now.

There is a big dropoff at the SG position, however, SG is easier to get, and we can get someone who can contribute 15 pts/game with defensive skills. With the money relief from the Howard and Harden trade, Rox can easily upgrade on the PG or SG positions.

If we wait for Harden to mature, I am afraid his defense won't improve anyway. His 25pt/game has to be taken with a grain of salt as the opponent SG will also score a lot. There is just no hope for Howard to improve on his post play and FT shooting. Everybody should realize that Howard is as it is now. It will be a nightmare in the game-end situation.
