For everyone who thinks the Rockets are trading Asik, wasnt Josh Smith supposed to be a Rocket too...

The Rockets score alot of points already so why do they need a stretch four so their offense can get better?? Did you see what Asik did to LMA, he made life miserable for him...thats what i want. If we need shooting then bring in Casspi or slide CP to the 4 for a little bit but there are no rules to basketball that say two bigs cant play together i mean Otis Thorpe played with Hakeem and Hakeem played on the block and OT couldnt shoot a lick...Uh they won the title

    totally agree his assessment.

like I said in one thread, to make asik happy (or a showcase by kerr), rox has no choice to start asik and howard together and get asik enough mins. it's reason you hardly see they finish game together.

kerr also mentioned our best five players don't quite fit. we got lin. then suddenly harden came here from no where. we had asik. bam we got howard. now we know harden and howard as our core. I can see one of asik and lin or both will be moved in near future, likely for a good or elite pf.

no. lin is at best a good pg. I won't see him a very good pg. bev is solid pg with tons of energy. other than that, I haven't seen much from bev or bev hasn't showed me much beside his energy. I won't give good or very good to him yet.

yes you are right but that’s why you hope to get a cheap stretch four in a trade for (dmo, jones,or smith) who can fit in mchales offense and surprise people how casspi came in and did and keep asik for situational defense and back up center. Im sure he could have found this 4 like he found casspi, but he went with plan (a) & (B)
    (A) hoping for jones & dmo to fill that role, keep asik
    (B) using camby as a poor man ASIK and being able to get a stretch four for him (RYAN ANDERSON)

Neither one worked out so now he is a plan (C) that we can only make assumptions on.

Last year as well he can guard the 3-4 spots maybe even some 2s I have always like Jeff green and for some reason the bigger the game the bigger he plays

Depth wise and combination wise our depth at that spot is very good. Lin can attack the basket and be solid play maker, Bev is a borderline elite defender and a very good 3pt shooter and rebounder and Brooks is a good shooter and can attack the basket. Depth and combination wise it is very good.

Yeah, awesome example to go to. You know, the 4th game of the season with a totally revamped roster?

Plus the Clippers were hitting shots out of their rear end. There is little chance that they'll be that hot when we see them again. It was just one of those games.

I don't know what Lin you are watching but Lin at his absolute best looks like an all-star point guard on both sides of the floor. He has shown improvements in many areas as well this year over last year. Overall, he has been a well-above average point guard in the young season. Patrick just hasn't played much but has added some reliable shots to his repertoire and not fouling as much as he used to.

Well if getting spanked in one game means anything then i guess Miami/Chi could already make plans for the summer..oh and wait did the Clippers spank the Lakers and Magic too?

Why can't people wait for 20 orso games to evaluate this team, is it that hard?

He is on the money. UNLESS, somehow, someway, McHale finds a way of making twin towers work. To early to say, but you solve the PF puzzle, you become a force. I predict that one of the two will happen before the trade deadline.

Clippers got spanked last night by Magic, and CP3 fouled out. So definitely we will have a chance on the weekend on home court.

My favorite part is when he said Bev should start

I don't disagree with his assessment. If/when we win a championship, I'd be highly surprised if Asik were on the roster.

when other team plays strong defense, lin has trouble to get his team going. so to say he is very good pg is little bit overrated. above average means he is good but not very good. ok, we may have difference on the definition of good vs very good.

Josh Smith would work a lot better alongside Howard than Asik. Smith can handle the ball, has an offensive skillset, can be effective more than 5 feet away from the basket.

I haven't seen him struggle against strong defenses this year but the year is young. The big test is Miami. And maybe we do have differences in the definition of good vs. very good, maybe you're a tougher marker than me.
